  1. 1. With internet speed being so important for image quality in FS2020, I'm curious, where do you sit?

Got 60 Mbps down and 4 Mbps up here in Berlin, Germany. Planning on upgrading to 200 Mbps simply because of MSFS 2020. But I guess 60 Mbps should be more than enough for the highest scenery stream settings, right?

It is. You need around 10 Mbps according to my system.

10 Mbps. That;s all?

Probably depends on where you are flying and at what altitudes...? They state 50 for optimum, so that's quite a difference...

Would be great though. While I have a 500Mbit access, I only get this when using a 30m Cat7 cable up to the second floor. If I go via my DLAN which should support 600MBit in theory I am down to 30 to 35 MBit max...

Thanks. I have Xfinity with inhouse WiFi so my computer has no cable and I am getting 30Mbps, so seeing the 10 Mbps mentioned got my attention. There is only one cable connection to the Xfinity main box. All tvs and computers use wifi. I might add that I get 30 with at least one tv and two computers running on line. One running a business meeting with about 30 people on board and mine running P3D.

Could be that more is needed for high level flying or approaching London city. All I can tell you are what my performance monitor says. And even that is braking the NDA.

Just to confirm: I didn´t mean to doubt what you were stating in any way. And of course this is great news.  Was just wondering and speculating at the moment. Maybe I still have a chance for Beta, and if not, well, it´s just three weeks to go and we will know a ton more about people´s experience with internet speed and quality settings.

The biggest negative impact for slower internet speeds will be when you actually download the full install or a major patch.  Regular play, not so much.

If you were to buy a 10/100/1000 multi-port switch (<$20) and run a CAT6 network cable from the switch to your computer, you'd be astonished at how much your speeds would increase...

Everything set to highest. I fly on a Full HD only, so I can afford that. 4K would be another story.
