December 9, 20205 yr Oh wow, I was just browsing the X-Plane subforum and noticed that there's already a thread for Enhanced Cloudscapes. The new beta 2020.11.24, released 11 days ago, is available and can be downloaded from GitHub. It's also available for download at x-plane.org forum and Threshold. Here are the links for download: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/65005-enhanced-cloudscapes/https://forum.thresholdx.net/files/file/698-enhanced-cloudscapes/https://github.com/FarukEroglu2048/Enhanced-Cloudscapes PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. Sadly it's a really hard issue to solve, and even trueSKY on P3D has a similar issue. PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.
December 30, 20205 yr Author Windows build of my fork should now be working https://github.com/mSparks43/Enhanced-Cloudscapes-Engine installation should just be to copy the Enhanced_Cloudscapes_Engine into your plugins directory, probably going to open a support channel for this version on the Go Ahead discord, all credit/patreon membership to BiologicalNanobot and the EC discord This does the timer is currently set to 300 seconds, you can change that at the top of smooth_weather.lua I'm using it in combination with the NOAA plugin https://x-plane.joanpc.com/plugins/xpgfs-noaa-weather Yes, it does support VR. Windows and Linux (no mac because it needs GLSL4.5 and mac doesn't) Edited December 30, 20205 yr by mSparks AutoATC Developer

Its a different version, main things it adds is smooth transitions from one weather state to another (so no more insta changes) - the main thing that always annoyed me about xp weather - and also dynamic setting of the resolution ratio so render quality is reduced if gpu time starts struggling (with a lower fps target for external views) AutoATC Developer

Latest release of Enhanced Cloudscapes is Beta 2020.11.24 I renamed my branch Enhanced Cloudscapes Engine to distinguish it, and the actual cloud drawing code there is partway between Alpha 2020.08.16 and Beta 2020.11.24, currently missing the nice anvil code but also the slightly bugged VR in the current Beta AutoATC Developer
