Just saying that a land line can be good to have depending upon circumstances: Where we live, it's a bit of a telecommunications black hole, so we have to have a booster box for the cell phones which is connected to our broadband router. We also have a landline with cordless phones. Now, during a power outage we lose cellphone signal and of course the cordless phones, so we have an old push button landline phone stashed away to plug into the socket - the telephone line has separate power so invariably that will work so we can contact the power company etc. 😉

Thanks...😊

51 Studebaker:  My mother had one!  Studebaker Champion with the "airplane nose."  I actually remember that car fondly.

Phones:  I'm on a land line.  Wife has a cell phone, but I don't need one.  Land line has talking caller ID so I don't answer unless I know who it is.

So, you are essentially ON-Hook more than OFF-Hook? 😅

Far too many decades ago my mom, dad, and I were on a trip to "somewhere I can't remember), but I do remember having to make an emergency stop for car repair and the owner of the shop lending us use of his new 1956 Studebaker "Golden Hawk." Man I was really impressed with that car.

Definitely ON-Hook! 😄

Studebaker Golden Hawk:  sporty before sporty was cool.  I wish I had gotten to see a real one.  Have a look at pics of the Studebaker Avanti.  It still looks modern.

Something amusing about the Avanti.  There was a time when the rear looked dated, after Corvette went from similar styling to something new.  Eventually this wore off, and the Avanti looks modern again. 😄

The rear window looks very Jensen Interceptor, along with a nod to the Buick Riviera boattail IMHO.. another muscle car I'd like to have..
