I use these - they are great.  But we shouldn't have to do this of course; they need fixing properly in the sim to look less stroboscopic.
And it is a real issue as it is right in your face.  It doesn't look anything like that in real life.

Strange how people can complain about the slightest bug with an autopilot, but then seem to intimate people are 'whinging' about this, which you see all of the time right in front of you.

It was quite bad on the JF Arrows to start with.  People complained and they said they followed the SDK.  In the end they altered it so that it isn't so noticeable at cruising revs, but it still isn't perfect.

Ironically, all of the Carenado planes (and some others) seem to have it right.  If they can do it, so can everyone else.  I wonder what system they use?  Not the SDK way then I presume?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

I don't believe I have ever seen prop animation done well. I will be happy to be shown otherwise, though.

My limited knowledge on the subject makes me believe that animating this well is simply really difficult to do. It doesn't help that we all have different ideas about how it should look as some know what the prop looks like IRL while others like myself would probably base it off the videos from cockpits we have seen where the camera framerate makes an impact.

I would like to see it improved, but I understand it's probably at the limits of what is possible.

My JustFlight Piper Arrow doesn't seem to do this any better than the vanilla Asobo aircraft.

Currently circumnavigating the world in a mix of Cessna and Piper aircraft.

My Default Setup; MSFS, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster Hotas X, TrackIR, Samsung Galaxy Tab, JustFlight Piper Arrow. Simworks Quest Kodiak 100.

Wishlist; Honeycomb Bravo, Honeycomb Charlie.

1:400 Airline Model Collector.

Try this.

I made them flat disks, by radial blurring the prop textures. You won’t see motion.  It’s as real (human eye, not camera), as I could get them.

Actually, I can understand why there are diverse opinions for the reason below:

It never bothered me - in fact, I never considered it - until it was pointed out by others 'whinging' about it, for the simple reason that my experience of being behind a propeller is from TV images rather than real life in the cockpit. Now, it is something I can't not see (poor grammar intentional), so I appreciate the prop mods.

One of those things you'll never get full consensus on.

Are these expressly for VR?  Or are they effective otherwise as well?

They work in 2D also…outside views, everywhere.
