August 2, 20205 yr Noticed basic GPS and G1000 type GPS devices built into stock sim. For stock versions they appear to be OK. No idea how well simulated they are though. I'm wondering if RealityXP and Flight1 will be able to port their GTN 657 750 etc devices into the new sim.
August 2, 20205 yr As a tester, I am not going to comment on simulation of the stock G1000. However, indepenedent on working in the simulator, I wouldn't mind seeing a replacement GTN750. While the G1000 looks nice, I find it generally quite hard to get used to operating it. August 2, 20205 yr Under the media permissions as of the 30th game play commentary was allowed and so I will say these systems were functional and in my flights provided all the data expected , there were expedients where some pages were inop or not appropriate to the unit simulated. Do they meet the needs of the needs of the majority of simmers , Absolutely and In my experience didn't tank framerates . The question of Addon units is vaguely addressed in the interview where MSFS2020 support of .dll's is not provided , so that excludes "as is" dll use by extension , there are a host of P3D's involved with their own developments and doubtless there will be more by way of products available.
