What he does is almost similar to what I do. He'll correct people on anything relating to X-Plane, and if he knows the info, FS2020, also.. And taking into account he's a 737 Captain, I would take his words very seriously about flight dynamics, over someone who has a student pilots license, praising FS2020 to high heaven and back. Taking a cheap shot at him (Janov whatever his name is), when he never even addressed you in the first place, nor insulted you, is completely uncalled for. (I honestly thought you were above that kind of thing) Sorry for the misspelling, and yes, it wasn’t entirely necessary to mention Janov just because he liked your point about how many dvds would be needed for MSFS so apologies all round. The point about dvds was facetious. Many of the criticisms of MSFS in the XP forums are valid and worth repeating until addressed, but there is a lot of hyperbole and red-herring-slinging in this forum which doesn’t do your cause any good (imho). If XP devs continually beat the ‘don’t worry MSFS is just weather eye candy, everything else sucks’ drum, is XP likely to respond to MSFS in a competitive way and up their own game? I can’t decide if you’re all circling the wagons in the face of a genuine threat, or you all actually genuinely believe MSFS is a big bag of nothing and the flight sim community will agree with you, dump MSFS shortly after booting it up, and leave XP free to dominate the market and continue its glacial evolution. I don’t like the ‘rip XP’ word not allowed AT ALL. I don’t trust Microsoft with a monopoly and I genuinely like and respect Austin’s passion, intelligence, and ethical sense and I’m pretty sure XP12 will bring things worth buying even for more casual simmers like me. I just hope you guys can stop dismissing MSFS as nothing to worry about and treat it as more of a call to action. i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

I really don't think MSFS has or will have any impact on Laminars plans ever, Their plans are determined by two things: 1. Priorities for ever improving realistic flight simulation, and 2. What the FAA and its peers require for certification. These are two things that MS/Asobo/VR Virgins have zero interest in and have no plans to start afaik? AutoATC Developer
