August 6, 20205 yr Good morning, Again, this isn't meant to be a trollpost or something. But seeing so many features, functions, things and so on not completely implemented, not working correctly, in need of tweaking and finetuning and whatnot wouldn't it be more appropriate to consider MSFS as an early acces game? I mean come on...buying a product at full price i'd expect at least the implemented features to work at least 99,5% correct. Yes, the Devs have announced MSFS to be a longterm project which is actually good but why not be honest and say it's EA, there's so much work to do...i'd still be happy to pay for MSFS as an EA title. Even more happy than paying full price for a game which won't be complete at release. Think about it...you wouldn't buy any other product knowing there will be important things missing. Anyway i'm looking forward to explore this whole new thing called servicegame but it has definatly got some bitter taste. Best regards and stay safe in these crazy times! August 6, 20205 yr Simple. If your not satisfied with the content in the game when it's released, then don't buy it. Edited August 6, 20205 yr by Theboot100

Microsoft is advertising the game in its current state. There is DLC (paid and unpaid planned) but your not buying the game for the DLC. That's the nature of modern game. Updates, DLC, extras are released for the life time of the game.

But a thing like a properly working autopilot shouldn't be an extra which comes along somewhere in the lifetime of the game. It should work right at release. Tom You still don't understand, that nobody have saw the full release build, what we will get on 18.8.2020. Everybody can saw only a beta build! I'm sure, that many things will be corrected before release. But many things can't be corrected now, simply because the necessary technology doesn't exist yet. Especialy for many and many bugs in scenery, what AI can't detect and correct automatically. So it's only an unnecessary speculation, until we will can try a full version.
August 6, 20205 yr Both X-Plane and P3D also have a number of features missing or in need of finetuning and tweaking, so by that standard they're also still in Early Access.
August 6, 20205 yr By this logic fsx p3d and xplane are all still in early access... lol Jacques beat me to it Edited August 6, 20205 yr by ShawnG

August 6, 20205 yr My other main hobby is sound recording, and there is a saying about finishing songs: “mixes are never finished, only abandoned”. Which is to say that there is always something that can be or needs to be fixed, but at a certain point you have to call it ready. At the end of this ten year run, there is still going to be stuff that we want fixed, much less day one. You can focus on that end of things if you want, and wait. But then you will miss all the things that this gets right. For myself, I’m not going to ignore excellence in the pursuit of perfection.

Is there any disadvantage when you call your game EA? Wouldn't there even be the advantage of people expecting things to not be perfect when its EA? Or the other way around...if its generally expected that games are supported and fed with updates and content over a long period of time why are there even EA games? Whats the sense in that? Leaving the money raising aspect aside... Edited August 6, 20205 yr by ThomseN_inc Intel i9-13900K | Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Master | RTX4090 | 2x16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5-6000 | Be quiet!
