I wonder how much of the bottleneck my [email protected] will be? Also, I always had the HT off since P3D didn't utilize it but MSFS2020 probably will benefit from HT on, right?

This is what I was wondering. No one yet seems to have used HT that I can find?

All my digits are crossed that their final pass on the beta plus an Nvidia driver update will squeeze just a bit more out of the sim for the sake of my poor old 1070 OC card.

I think their main priority is to fix performance issues before release.

Even if we complain about the flight model, bridges, clouds, etc. bad performance is what will give you bad reviews.

Happy with MSFS 🙂

with 4 core cpus its recomend to run HT ON reven in P3D V5 . i run my 9900k with HT ON in P3DV5 , if you lock at youtube vids Chewwy there he had HW monitor open you see that it spread the load over the cores better then P3D.

you get approx 25% more cpu power with HT ON less risk to be cpu bound.

So, when msfs uses all cores, could that be a tendency that the AMD 3900X might be better cpu because of more cores than intels i9 10900?

I'd also think the same, it seems with MSFS the CPU is no longer a problem and definitely AMD CPUs have really good value with performance ratio you'd get.
