- Customizing default planes is possible. You can tweak the planes for your preferences.

Edit: now Jorg is talking about licensing issues which contradicts the plane tweaking.

I like that they are aware that each plane flies a little differently even of the same model depending on age and overhaul conducted.

FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX

Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

Modding default planes (like Zibo mod) - it's theoretically possible, but they haven't really talked about it.

Possibility to do some slight changes to the plane / tweak the plane to get the performance you want in the hangar or something, and liveries, but doesn't sound like they have anything setup to fully modify the default planes.

Also a licensing issue - will licensers (Textron, Boeing) allow people to modify the base sim?

Autopilot - ASOBO largest team working on . Changed from FSX a lot.  AP's different on every plane - Continuous improvement, Should be improved in release

Autopilot Bugs and issues:

- we're still working on autopilot

- autopilot team might be the biggest team

- many many autopilot bugs fixed during the last weeks

- lot of the bugs are already fixed but not rolled out to the public

- There's still stuff that needs to be fixed

- oscillation bug being worked on. It might already be fixed but needs to be worked on per plane basis.

Clouds:

- Cirrus: you can already get some kind of cirrus layer with the existing parameters.

(Sebastian acknowledged that it's not perfect)

Updates to the weather system:

- Cirrus clouds can already be created by creating a small / thin cloud layer high up (though it's hard to get stretchy ones that are formed by high speed winds). They're going to update it eventually so that you can add a slider and stretch things etc.

- There are also other types of unique clouds that they could maybe introduce via the sliders, but it's hard to incorporate those into real live weather because it's completely sourced from Meteoblue.

Door opening: Decided not to start with it. Something they can bring in the future, but not a high priority item.

Xbox: No release date. It needs to be great. We'll let you know once we know how much work is left.

MS Store vs Steam: Everything is exactly the same. Multiplayer world is the same between the platforms.

Steam vs. MS Store version: same content, same packages, unified multiplayer world. Everyone will be able to play together no matter which platform.

Sympathic guys... autopilot team is fixing 50+ bugs per day. 😄

Happy with MSFS 🙂

I wonder if they knew in the beginning they would have to have a big dedicated team for autopilot 😃

Feels bad about missions, seems like there'll be only the ones that are already in the preview build. 😐
