I posted this originally in the MFS2020 forum. It's not like I came into the X-Plane section of this forum looking for trouble. I just wanted to hear what other people think about that interview.

And you received 7 pages worth of replies.  Did you not get what you were looking for?  Do you not realize that a select few MSFS "fans" continue coming into the X-Plane forums, just to stir the proverbial pot?  Do you not see that every thread in these X-Plane forums, that has the text "FS2020" in the title, eventually gets locked because it turns into a pointless debate about "my sim is better than yours"?

And now, 2 or 3 of you are taking pot shots at Austin, making it personal.  A new low.

I didn't create this thread for the purpose that you stated. I have no control over other people's opinions and what they post. Like I said, I just wanted to hear other people's opinions. Seems like you're the one taking it a bit personal as though people are attacking on your best friend or something.

Ah, deflection.  Nice try.  But no.  I'm making observations.  
The more you assume, the more foolish you look.

I don't even frequent the X-Plane section on here so how would I know?

But anyways, calling other people "fans" or "fan_boy" is a bit silly. When you think of it, everyone is somewhat of a fan of something that they're loyal too, whether its a brand or a game. If you think I'm an MS fan, then you can also call me a P3D fan and an X-Plane fan as well, because I use to be loyal to those platforms as well. Being labeled as a "fan" is irrelevant. Anyways, sorry to hurt your feelings.

Well call it what you want. You seemed a bit bothered by it to even carry on endlessly about it. If you truly didn't care, you most likely wouldn't put your efforts into being so defensive about it.

If you don't like the outcome of this thread, then simply ignore it and move on like you said. This is a forum where people can express themselves freely whether you agree with something or not. As long as we all act like civilized adults and avoid drama then everything will be okay. I'm not making fun of Austin. I just can't picture him driving a ferrari. Not sure how you're interpreting what I said as poking fun of him. It's like me saying that I can't picture myself being in the army. I didn't meany anything negative by what I said. You're looking into things way too deeply.
