Well, clearly not when I have a 787 I paid thirty quid for in P3D which has a working EFB for a kick off.

Third party payware add-on aircraft are better than default aircraft. Who would've guessed?

Well yeah but it should look like this no matter if you move your eyepoint. However irl the HUD image will just go away quite quickly if you're not sitting in the right spot. In any way it should be aligned with the outside, and this clearly is not the case. Apart from all the visual imperfections, which I find minor to the actual alignment problems. Which makes me think the virtual image is very likely not where it is supposed to be, like 200' in front of the aircraft or whatever the number is on that type. I could use a colored HUD with thin lines if it was at least working alright.

How does it behave with TrackIR? That will tell us a lot.

What aspects would those be?

as seen in the 787 video (😉) IFR for airliners is not working properly yet.

Then, I miss some things in default airports, but we can talk about them freely on 4 days or so.

How good are the default airliners in P3D?

Idk, but good enough in XP. Also, I dind't had any issues on approach both on XP or FSX so... basic but working sometimes is better.

Ha. I suspect you would be happy with vector graphics then for your button pushing simulator.

I'd agree with you on that, but then we'd both be wrong.

The default 737 and 747 in X-Plane have about the same systems depth as the default A320 and 747-8 in MSFS.

Don't knock it till you've tried vector graphics. Smooth as butter.

Good thing Asobo has the ability and expertise to patch their product whenever they want. Let's extend XP and P3D's lifeline a bit longer.

Plenty of people have flown the default airliners in MSFS with minimal issues. It's difficult to argue, and frankly an extreme exaggeration, that the airliners are fundamentally broken and don't work at all.

Of course they will patch, but some months ago I was killing both XP and P3D the same as you. Since the last alpha/beta version, I don't have it so clear. I wouldn't use XP for VFR (I did it twice honestly), and I will with MSFS, but for airliners I don't bet anything right now.

I would like to known those plenty of people, because I just have the opposite feeling. Of course on the 1.7.X issues could have been fixed, but  in the 787 video and the QA from yesterday, AP issues has been present. Even on the Snapshot Feedback, both top alpha issues are related to airliners. So... Don't kill those sims that fast. At least not yet. Let's wait for the 18th.

Nice one, take my comment out of context why don't you? and whilst you are at it, ignore this...

Quite apart from the fact that the 787 is not a 'default aircraft', it is one which you pay for to have it included in the Premium Deluxe version, which costs almost twice as much as the standard version, making it a payware aircraft. but the real point is, the default 787 doesn't need to have everything simulated, nor would it be reasonable to expect so, but it should capture the essence of the thing, and that's the glass cockpit with modern functuionality, i.e. an EFB which works, even if it just displays the ground map or something, otherwise what was it I paid 109 quid for, instead of 60?

Everybody have to understand, that 787 is only one of 10 additional planes and 10 handcrafted airports, which we get for more 60$ with Deluxe-Premium MSFS version. So 787 price is only 60$ / 20 = 3$ !!! And everybody have to judge this plane only compare to its price. Who expected a professional model comparable to add-ons with dozens dollars price, must be a heavily naive. But still it's a very good and detailed model with many functionalities and effects, which highly exceed the standard of the default planes with previous sims. Yes, there are some bugs yet, but it's sure, that it will be fixed. If not for release, undoubtly soon.

One question, was the landing gear stucked because Auto Brakes were on RTO?
