August 14, 20205 yr Hi all Still on the fence about purchase platform, leaning towards steam has anybody heard if Sim updates will take longer to hit steam or if there could be any 3rd party developer install issues by going the steam route, pitty this question didn't arise on the stream the other day Edited August 14, 20205 yr by suchw Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
August 14, 20205 yr No one really knows but it's thought that sim updates will happen inside the game which is basically a launcher. FSX | DCS | X-Plane 11 | MSFS 2020 | IL2:BoX Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

August 15, 20205 yr I have the same question, since the only version I saw out on steam looked like the middle version. Here's hoping I can upgrade to the tip top level to take advantage of every feature and option within the new sim. For private GA flights, I only fly the Dassault Falcon 7X tri-engine jet. For those who'd like to aircraft, go to Fly away simultion's free down load library. The file that you'll all want is the following: falcon7x_2_x.zip unless there's a surprise within MSFS 2020, and I'll see a DF8X. If I do, would there be anyone who can revise my Pittsburgh Steelers football team paint job from my older DF7X to the DF8x? Would welcome the help there. See everyone Tuesday for wheels up on Tuesday. Ron AKA The Blind Pilot

On Steam or MSSTore you will download just the client/launcher. The content is totally controlled in-sim. So, no matter where you bought it, once you get in the sim, everything will be the same, same marketplace, same updates etc. Edited August 15, 20205 yr by ca_metal 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

MS/Asobo only have the control over things on their marketplace. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
August 15, 20205 yr Author Yep that's the million dollar question but I think it's unlikely developers would not create an installer for both delivery methods unless they are not interested in extra sales, and that's only if they don't utilise the in Sim market place Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3

August 15, 20205 yr In an ideal world external content would be 'unpacked' and installed/uninstalled by a dedicated content manger. If I'm not mistaken such a tool was mentioned in the live q&a. Bernard

External content will probably have to be taken care by the developer selling it to you. Like Orbx with their Orbx Direct. 9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel
