Yoke Pre-order questions

Just a shame he hasn't released any info on it otherwise I'd probably consider cancelling the 'funny bone' order

Other than it would be priced lower than the yoke or not be viable. I know what you mean - something operationally similar to the 'funny bone' but primarily metal, more robust and perhaps with a smaller footprint would be appealing at the right price. Whether Chris can release that at the right price for me remains to be seen. Now, back to my bread and water rations...😊

Similar price to the yoke would be worth it if the quality/features are there. I haven't got it yet, but the bravo is getting some quality issues and their customer service is shocking.

Something to keep an eye on and a possible purchase in the future!

Need to replace my CH yoke first!! Had it 15 years now

Sorry I missed your post, I'd estimate another couple of weeks and you should get an email.

Point taken, it's just that I personally would find it hard to justify paying that much again for a peripheral. Some people willingly pay thousands to set up their flight sim. I neither have the freedom or desire to do that. Each to their own But I will certainly monitor the progress on the Fulcrum quadrant as Chris reveals more.

I like the provision of switches etc on the Bravo but they are obviously still buggy. If I bought a QT without those though, I'd end up wanting to buy one or more switch panels (or attempt my first DIY project). More expense! In the meantime, I at least have my TM Airbus quadrant to stand in.

There are also also that put the switches (and instruments) onto a display on a touchscreen  tablet.

@danwood @Glenn Fitzpatrick have either of you received your yoke or shipping confirmation?  My order still seems to be awaiting pickup from Fulcrum by UPS. Label was created on Friday, so I was hoping they'd collect it on Monday.

Same here... got a tracking number 3/26 (friday), but the UPS status as of today is "Label Created" so it hasn't quite made it onto the UPS truck just yet.  I'm sure it will happen very soon. The suspense is killing me!

My concern at the moment is that I have plans to be out of town this coming weekend, and since this is a "signature required" package, I'm worried that I may miss the delivery.  As much as I want this thing to ship ASAP, I'm actually hoping it gets delayed by another couple of days so it will arrive early next week instead.

Just send me your house keys and I'll take it in for you, honest.😇

At least it's not just me. Hopefully a) everything's ok with Chris and b) he'll give us an update.

I'm really trying to be patient, but the closer anything  nice I order gets to arriving, the more impatient I can get! Sometimes any information is too much inforamtion - in this case knowing it's ready to be collected but seeing that for some reason it hasn't been. I've never dealt with UPS but with other couriers as soon as the label was created, that was a pickup booked, which is why I've been concerned.

What do you know, just got 2 emails from UPS:

Quote

Hello, you have a package on the way.

Scheduled Delivery Date: Tuesday, 30/03/2021

🤔

Then:

Quote

Hello, your scheduled delivery date has been updated.

Rescheduled Delivery Date: Thursday, 01/04/2021
Estimated Delivery Time: 11:15 - 15:15

Frustrating it's 2 days later than it could have been, but at least it's in transit now.👍

Hope you got the same @danwood

Hmm, and yet you got your email before us. Maybe UPS are slow in getting their emails out. I'm not certain but perhaps it's UPS scanning the parcel which causes the Fulcrum order status page to update. Keep checking, you never know...🤞

My shipment is to Australia so may be a totally different timeline.  Does sound like UPS pick up the yoke in batches rather than grabbing whatever is ready on a daily basis though.

Aha, well that could have a slight impact! And you may be right about the pickups. At least I can start to act less grumpy about mine now.😁 Hopefully not long before yours is winging its way to you. Pity it can't fly itself there!

No status change yet on my end yet either (US shipment).   I'm excited to hear that you got your shipping confirmation - this means that I'll be checking the status like a crazy person every 2 minutes from now until it ships. 🤪

There is probably a bunch of them being processed as we speak.

Pretty much what I've been doing up till now!😄

I guess I win the race by default, seeing as I'm the only one of the 3 of us in the UK. Bit of an unfair victory! At least with my order in motion (literally), you guys can get a bit more excited that yours will follow before long.
