GPU being underutilized

I posted about this. I'm only hitting 50%, in the beta it was 99%.

One level of AA could do that.

Could roll the drivers back and see if that corrects the problem. I'd be curious to know because I also updated yesterday and have yet to install the sim.

I'm going to roll back my drivers. Settings are the same I had in the beta, also lowered the setting but made no difference.

Btw, the menu GPU usage was an issue during testing which has carried over to the retail.

i'm having that issue sometimes gpu 50% gtx 1070ti paired with an i7 10700k. 1080p

anyone else having issues with vsync setting at 60fps, seems broken to me goes way above it with it on.

i rolled back drivers, restarted, and nothing's improved.  i still get 98-99% GPU usage in menus, but once the simulator starts it drops down to the 40's and 50's.

Yup, drivers made no difference here. Have you changed anything in the NVIDIA control panel?

Nothing.

Have not checked GPU yet but CPU sits at 30 percent in 4k, I suspect monitoring is not accurate

I did not measure, but the noise of my 2800Ti tells that it is close to 100%.

What rez though?

I honestly think the individual level of AF and AA and resolution has a lot to do with GPU being maxed than anything sim or driver related!

Not true. I have a 2080 and 9900k and I'm getting 50%.

My CPU average is 36% and GPU is 43%, memory usage is 25%. B787 flying around RJAA Tokyo with heavy clouds on Ultra,1920x1080 Hyper threading on.

My CPU (i7-6700k @4.5 GHz) averages around 50% while my GPU (GTX 1070) is at 100% all the time. Screen resolution is UWHQ (3440x1440). With medium settings I get around 40 FPS in a C172, with settings at high it drops down to about 34 FPS. Seems to be time for a new GPU...

Turns out it was my drivers. I rolled back to 451.48 and everything is running flawless, no stutters, GPU is 80-99% and fps are fluid. Very similar to the performance I was getting in the alpha.

I was able to get my performance into the 90's just now.  I set the render scaling in the sim to 190 and then in windows settings, I turned on Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling and also set the Graphics performance preset to High Performance.

Again, like I said, try 4k and I'll bet your GPU usage is close to MAX!
