I have a lot more confidence in the quality of MeteoBlue’s product than I do in NavBlue’s. I think the current issues with weather are due to problems that Asobo is having with getting the MB data transferred into the game, combined with an outright bug in the sim itself causing the 225/03 wind problem in so many areas.

There were a couple of posts a day or two ago, claiming the wind problem had been fixed by Asobo, with some kind of unannounced overnight update. I assume those posters were being over optimistic, since there has been no great flurry of other posts confirming it.

I find that if i fly in stormy wx over the sea ie a hurricane, the waves react to the strong wind even though its 3kts! So its like the wind data is there but some kind of sim related bug is blocking it

I flew for about an hour this morning between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and wind was still 225 at 3 on the G-1000 display. But, even with the very light wind, I was getting quite a bit of turbulence while flying 1500 feet AGL over a range of hills south of SAF. It smoothed out once I was over the Rio Grande valley. It was more turbulence than I would have expected for 225 at 3...

Thanks. I think you've confirmed what I suspected.

Agree Jim. Not sure what navdata had to do with the defunk weather? 😉

Good grief.  Did not in any way say anything like that.  Just pointed out that weather is not the only issue after so much touting of the world class partners lined up.

What is interesting is when ATIS reports weather that should be there based on metars, but it is nowhere to be found in the flying environment.  Landed in Minnesota last week and ATIS reported 400 scattered and 1,200 overcast.  Sky was clear and blue.

The weather engine knew what was to be there but was not producing it.

Yeah the more I fly the sim the more i realize we have a nig issue here especially if youre going to fly long xcty or airline flights. I use foreflight with msfs and the live wx never ever matches anything foreflight says. I think it was very disingenuous for MS to even call it Live WX when even if its working properly it still isnt live.
