Nvidia Hotfix 452.22

Featured Replies

well I went from 10FPS to 20FPS at JFK, but I'm getting the same FPS in most other places.

I gained 1.654896325 fps. 🙂

Didn't help me at LFPG, still 10FPS anywhere near the main terminals.

Edit: Oh there we go, it jumped to 30 after sitting for a while. I wonder if that was from the satellite imagery loading in.

But now it's back to 10

This is so weird.

What's with that driver? Not available from GeForce driver search or GeForce Experience.

I gained 4.5 placebos per minute.  Not bad

There is none but some say msfs is a bit better - there is a download link there - I installed it didnt hurt anything - I have other issues so didnt check to see if it made a difference

They are also reporting that the driver (or most probably GeForce Experience) turns most of the graphics settings on low, and that when they set them back to the previous values, the "fps boost" disappears.

Come on guys, why don't you want to trust nVidia changelog? Do you think that if a driver hotfix increased MSFS performance they would not state it in the changelog?

The hotfix addresses the following issues:

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may intermittently see a drop in frame rate when ray tracing is enabled
  • [Pascal] Marvel's Avengers may crash if alt-tabbing while the game is running
  • [Notebook] Display is not detected when connected to Thunderbolt 3 port on HP Spectre x360 - 15t-df100 Notebook
  • Minecraft Java Edition may crash when launched with XSplit Broadcaster running in the background

No noticeable change here - also tried the 460.15's, which stem from an older branch, despite the higher version number, and they were the same as well. Without an in-built benchmark it's almost impossible to gauge any change.

I noted MFS mentioned in the notes you see during installation but they could be referring to pre hot fix. I only tested it briefly myself and it didn't really seem any different, I'd already customised my settings in the nVidia driver.
