VRF Map Window bug.

Featured Replies

Hi My window for VRF Map got stuck in this mode and I can't move it down to put it back the original way. Any help will be appreciated.

try pressing "v" on your keyboard, or alt-enter to exit full screen mode.

Tried everything, noting works.... I even clean installed the Game withe full uninstall and still same issue? This really make me clueless...

why all you have to do is just click on the top bar or -  icon and then drag it or minimize......oh wait, never mind.... that won't work....

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I would try changing the graphic setting to run in a bordered windowed mode so you can then re-size the main MSFS display and then hopefully get access to the top bar of the VFR map and drag it to a new location.

You might also try seeing if any of the windows keyboard shortcuts work - hold down the left Windows key and press the left, right, up or down cursor to see if it relocates.

Change the resolution so the monitor will reposition stuff, grab the offending window, move it to the middle of the screen, reset the resolution.

Yes, the above suggestion by Chock has a good chance of working.

The only other thing I can think of is to try to find where the window config file is (I haven't a clue at the moment - but someone might know), and then you could manually change the X and Y positions for the window, as obviously it is storing it somewhere.

That might give a clue to the file location actually, because if it preserves the window location after a reinstall, the file might be in your C Drive User folder somewhere.

Click on the window, press alt -space bar, then you'll get a menu. Press M, and move the windows with arrow keys.

He's probably already re-installed Windows and bought a new computer by now...

6 responses by people trying to help, when people have work to go to during the day - not too bad...

Did you have something useful to add or was it just to take the P?  😛

strange. if you have multiple monitors you can go to settings-system-display, click on one of the displays and holding down your left mouse button drag it up or down then click Apply. This works if you have the top of a particular pdf file that always opens with the top off screen. worth a try. Might also changing your display resolution inside of msfs. Also when in the sim if you have the vfr map highlighted/selected and press alt-enter it will maximize the map, but this might only work if you have the map in windowed mode.
