AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

Hmmm... does the prototype which according to the article and one linked from it, has already flown :ph34r: look anything like that tail-less twin engined picture? Which I might add is far less fugly than the F-35  However, there seems to be a lack of an underside view - IF that fighter was to encounter high AOA, like most modern fighters can and do deal with, then wouldn't it need some kind of auxiliary air intakes to compliment the main over the wing intakes??

The one (or rather two) in the picture are marked 'Navy', and look like concept art rather than real aeroplanes, so I should imagine the Air Force prototype doesn't look much like those. I can understand why they used that pic in the article though of course, pics of possibly secret advanced prototypes are invariably a bit thin on the ground. Most of the article can probably be taken with a hefty dose of salt anyway, especially when the author describes himself as a 'Futurist Thought Leader'. 🤣

Yeah, that's a bit of a clue.  I'm sure the USAF is already looking to spent billions or even trillions on the next generation of fighter aircraft, but it will probably be another 20 years before the next cutting edge, yet completely outdated fighter joins the USAF fleet.  Meanwhile, the Boeing B-52, being flown by the grandchildren and maybe even great grandchildren of those who flew it in Vietnam, will continue to the be the front line bomber.  The USAF will also continue to try to shed itself of the A-10, only to discover there is no aircraft that can fill the role of the A-10.
