September 18, 20205 yr One of the things I notice as most striking in MSFS is the ability to construct sunsets & sunrises with quite strong red & pink tonings. Via manipulating the weather, cloud cover, time of day & so on. I went back to P3D v4.5 to try & replicate this, but so far can't get the red/pink into it. Yet a year or so ago I could get good red/pink/gold sunsets, then there was an update of something, & they went away I am using P3D v4.5, Active Sky, ASC & Rex Sky Force. PTA is also on board. I suspect I haven't got them all interacting correctly. I would appreciate it if someone who is getting good colors , (reds, pinks, golds), into their P3D sunsets or sunrises, could outline what programs they are using to get them, & the settings. Thanks T45
September 18, 20205 yr That is based on your sky textures so it depends on which ones you are using. REX SF has a few that give you a similar look but you will just have to test them out. They won't be as pretty as MSFS sunsets though since they are using a different lighting engine. The thing about MSFS that I have noticed is that there is no variation in the sky color....every day the sunrise/sunset looks the same (not taking into account the clouds). September 22, 20205 yr Have you tried 'Natural Sky Project' by Pascal. They have recently been updated. This is one of the best sky sets out there.
