I managed to update the sim in Steam to 1.9.3.0. Now I'm in the sim, attempting to download 8.77 GB. 

The dowlnoad continously restarts at the 1st file at different percentage each time:

asobo-aircraft-b787-10-0.1.42.fspatch

Never faced such isue with the previous patch. 

I tried to like this sim, but they can't even implement the proper downloader 😞

Restarting the sim or the entire PC does not help. Plenty of free storage. Any clues?

This is a server side issue with the AWS CDN. Get a netlmiter and reduce the bandwidth allowed by the application and you will get pass this file.  

There is not much to be reduced, I have 5 Mbps connection. NetLimter is a bit expensive program (my trial ended).

the only other solutions is report to Asobo. This is something that many of us experience since the early days of the alpha. 

F...! 

If the only solution is to wait for Asobo response, seems I will be grouneded for a pretty long time. 

Maybe it's unfair to talk stereotypes, but I would prefer some German reliability over the French fancy visuals 😞

You can try again later when the CDN is not hammered by everyone trying to download. I know it sucks but it is what it is

What is CDN? 

In Polish it's an acronym for "Ciąg Dalszy Nastąpi" = "To Be Continued". Very adequate name 😞

I went past the first file be clicking Pause/Resume button each second. 

Now  I'm stuck on the second file 😞

I need to bring my Lego Technics to build mechanical clicking devices. What a sad mess 😞

I would recommend  to consider 2 options:

1. Repair in app settings (fast and easy)

2. Reset in app setting (complete reinstall but all settings will remain intact, back up community folder )

The last one will reinstall the whole sim which is drag. But I did it after 1st patch and it solved multiple problems I had before

What do you mean by "repair is app settings"?

Reinstall is out of question for me, ca. 3 days with my 5 Mbps 😞

I'm done.

I restarted the sim.

It now want's to download the entire installation of more than 95 GB. Three days or more with my 5Mbps connection. Assuming it would be downloading, but it's restarting on the first file 😞

What a mess. I will probaly stop using this misarable piece of buggy software for some months, until it will be fixed. I tried to be positive, but it's just a faulty product:

- downloader not working

- basic controls on Honeycomb Alpha Yoke not working without causing a 10-deg bug

- no replay function

- no decent save feature

- my home airfield (EPWS) located in 300ft depression

- no way to check the weather in the sim other than ATIS (not working for my home airfield)

- no way to start dark & cold (no parking positions at my home airfield, just one RWY instead of 3 in the real world, no taxiways, all frequencies wrong)

- elevated lights in the middle of taxiways at neighbouring regional airport (EPWR)

- G1000 and G3X crippled to bare bones, wind indication working even when aircraft not flying

- any much more...

It was jush rushed to the market. Bo be honest I don't expected the release this year. I experienced the early issues with FS98, FS2000, FS2002, FS2004, FSX, various versions of X-plane. Do you remenber any ot these so bug infested? So much time on the forums looking for workarounds vs. actual flying? It was always some tinkering, but never so miserably bad.

Good bye, my friends. It was intense affair, but it's time to quit. I will return here next year.

OK Guys, you'll have another hit or miss when you go to install the separate Japan install. There is a problem there as well!

If the game is re-downloading the entire game, it's because you change the installation path. When you do the update and you get to where it shows the installation path, don't touch it. Just hit continue. That's why people are getting the reinstall
