The game is assuming when my flight is done and it's wrong.

You did notice the big bold "Continue" button on the logbook?

Of course I noticed it. It interrupted everything I was doing at the moment.

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Even after two and a half years, I fail to see what the issue is.

The logbook pops up, you click on continue, and you can go on with exiting the plane.

It "logs" your flight. That's why it's called a logbook.

A perfect example of someone not understanding the problem because it doesn't affect them, the problem FYI made much worse in VR when you turn off the logbook feature and STILL get a severe interruption!

Simple

"Options"

"Assistance Options"

"User Experience"

"End Flight When Aircraft Shuts Down"  = OFF

Just a guess, your not a VR user. 😉
