REX Weather force not working

Recommended Posts

I uninstalled then reinstalled this morning and got it back working.  Another step I have started taking is waiting until clicking "Fly Now" in MFS before I start Weather Synthesis in Weather Force.  My altimeter and winds aloft were spot on today during a three hour flight.  No clouds experience as my entire route from south central Virginia to Indianapolis was clear, both in the sim and in real life.  Winds aloft were particularly accurate.

Has the latest MSFS patch broke WF again? I had recently reinstalled WF, and I'm getting no injection of weather - live or DCWS. Weather is set to clear.

It's working. Make sure you're up to date with the latest version.

Here at the SBCG airport with the aircraft at the gate, the temperature and pressure are never correct, only when you start traveling the runway to take off that the temperature and pressure become correct with METAR.
I have the latest version installed.

After installing the latest version (via system administrator) I have to re-enter activation data every time I start Rex Weather. Any suggestion? thanks

Uninstall, remove any leftover folders, including the REX6 folder in your documents folder. Restart computer, reinstall as admin and run as admin. That should clear it up.

I find that as soon as I start the taxi roll I can update the pressure.

We are pushing in the data at the synthesis stage, however it doesn't initialize in-sim until the aircraft is moving.

How is the transition of WX thru the route in the sim..?

It looks good to me.  En route pressure, wind and weather changes.  I haven't seen any sudden changes.  It certainly is a great improvement over the built-in Live Weather.

It's not working for me, at least I don't think it is.  For instance I chose a place where I knw it should transition from clouds to sunshine.  There is a big storm over the NW today but around Sacramento it goes to clear skies.  For me, from Redding to Sacramento: it was high clouds leaving Redding and then when I got close to Sacramento it just went to partly cloudy skies.  No transition, when i looked back towards Redding the sky looked uniform partly cloudy in all directions.  I uninstalled and reinstalled with version 1029 still getting the same thing, trying the same route.  I though it should synthesize weather along the whole route.  but it seems like it just changes the entire sky to whatever the closest METAR station is reporting.

Can anyone confirm they are seeing the same?  Is that how rex is supposed to work?

REX weather is reporting low IFR at KGEG. I started the sim, followed all the directions properly (afaik). The scenario started and the weather showed low IFR for about one second and it reverted to clear skies. I've tried everything. The sim is not getting the info from REX.

If the weather was injected initially into the sim as you stated, Weather Force wouldn't clear it out like that. Have you tried shutting down both the sim and WF to try and replicate the issue? Here is what I see at KGEG at the moment.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, I fixed it. User error, as usual. Thanks.

Great to hear! Have you tried the latest beta version yet?
