October 25, 20205 yr Every flight I've tried to make recently has been ruined by this bug. Randomly during mid flight, the game will stop registering mouse clicks or wheel scrolls on cockpit buttons. No tooltips show up when I mouse over the buttons either. I can't zoom in or out with the mouse wheel. However I can still freelook and reset my mouse view using mouse thumb buttons. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
October 25, 20205 yr Open the ATC window, and click and drag the box around for a second or two. You should then find everything is clickable again 🙂. It's a good work around for now until they fix the issue. It drove me crazy sitting at the gate in the 787 until I saw someone found this workaround. Captain NightBeauty. "I didn't find the passion, the passion found me" Flying flight sims since MS FS2002.
October 25, 20205 yr Open the ATC window if it's not already open, resize it by dragging it's border (i.e. the same as if you were dragging a window on your desktop to resize it). That should hopefully clear the problem. It's worked for me and others. It doesn't prevent a repeat but it will hopefully work if you get the same problem in future. October 25, 20205 yr I believe this is on Asobo's list of known issues as well. I've only had it happen once or twice but it is really annoying. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
October 25, 20205 yr I had this happen in the initial release, but I thought it was fixed with the first update? Hasn't happened to me since.
October 26, 20205 yr No, it happened to me on one of the two flights I managed today before I got locked out of starting the sim by my Gaming Services app wanting to install when it's already installed.😐 OS: Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHzRAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB] SSD: Corsair Force MP510 (for OS); 2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)HDD: Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)
October 26, 20205 yr I cant find a consistent solution. I open and close every window, resize them, drag them around the screen, change the view. Then it just randomly starts working again. So far, I've found that not touching the ATC or other menus has prevented this ridiculous bug. It's something that shouldn't still be happening on a regular basis 2 months after release.
October 26, 20205 yr This bug was #17 on the October 15 'Top Bugs' list, but it dropped off the list for this weeks update. On "backlog" I'd file ZenDesk tickets. AMD 3950X | 64GB RAM | AMD 5700XT | CH Fighterstick / Pro Throttle / Pro Pedals
October 26, 20205 yr Double-clicking on the top bar of the ATC window works for my every time. This was super annoying before I read about the workaround. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
October 26, 20205 yr I just had a similar issue, but mine was even worse. I was using a keyboard shortcut to turn the heading select knob, and my input stuck. The heading bug kept spinning rapidly around the HSI, and no mouse or keyboard commands would work. I tried opening a browser window and ALT-Tabbing back and forth without luck. I knew about the ATC window fix from this thread but couldn't activate it without the keyboard. I also attempted to disconnect/recommect my wireless keyboard but ended up ALT-F4-ing the sim closed. I submitted a ticked but can't for the life of me recreate it.🤔
