October 28, 20205 yr I've written about it before but it's worth saying again for those not familiar. This app is the primary reason I continue using P3D 4.5. They are hoping to port to MSFS but await improvements in the SDK for LVARs. FSCaptain (FSC) allows you to create an airline, and a pilot and tracks your piloting performance and scores each flight plus keeps a record of your grade and earnings as a pilot. Flight crew is present and interacts aptly w/ the pilot. It's is well-integrated w/ GSX I/II even to the point of anti-ice treatments preflight, and the enroute interactions you will have with its FMC-like gauge. Today I did a flight from KSLC to KPDX in the NGXu. About 75m out after descending to 14K feet the FSC FMC directed me to the pre-chosen alternate due to 1/16th mile visibility and a 200' ceiling at KPDX. The FSC FMC allows me to check conditions at my alternate which I had made KSEA, and at that moment there was 10SM visibility and looked fine. After another 20miles or so conditions changed at KSEA and it directed me to choose another alternate! I decided since I was in the NGXu I would ignore conditions a KPDX and do the CATIII landing anyway! Of course the plane landed beautifully and I was able to taxi thru thick fog to the gate, on-time barely. The PAX cheered after touchdown and I was awarded a score of 112 for negotiating to a safe landing. Normal perfect flight score is 102. You are scored on many different elements of your flight including correctly setting your transition altitude for the area your in, g-force scores, whether or not you had to change the expected time of arrival for whatever reason, whether you followed thru on a divert recommendation, landing lights off n on correctly, and so forth. I don't know about you but w/o something like FSC I get pretty bored w/ airliner flights, especially in P3D scenery it's not particular compelling. FSC adds enough tasks to do to keep you a little more on top of things I feel. The developers are wonderful, never ask for $$ for updates, and are super helpful if for example you don't find the plane you are using in their list of integrated planes. For the low budget cost, this is by far my favorite add-on for P3D, perhaps after ASN4. They do have a P3D v5 version I'm pretty sure. October 28, 20205 yr FSCaptain is awesome. I love that app. How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
October 28, 20205 yr I've just checked I bought FSC back in 2012 but never got to try it. Amazing that my purchase 8 years ago is still alive and supports P3Dv5 now (just downloaded v1.8.2).

October 29, 20205 yr I can only agree with this assessment ! FSC is one of the best and most useful add-ons I own (and believe me, I have tried many things...) Perfect software and perfect support - many other developers should take this attitude as an example ! regards ggerolamo kind regards, ggerolamo
October 29, 20205 yr I use FSC for almsot every flight I have, I love how it's well thought, for example, the detection of AI collision is suppressed whether you or the AI are stoped. When I read this on it's manual, I know it's made by someone who fly the sim as frequent as I am.... and yes the full manual is available before purchasing, that's how I ended up to buy it.
