October 29, 20205 yr Hello, I am a happy user of the 3 main Flight Simulators: Prepar3d v5, X-Plane 11 and Microsoft Flight Simulator. I am mainly the airline guy. While my main platform is Prepar3d v5 (I have most of the aircrafts for this sim) and I use the X-Plane 11 mainly as a supplementary Flight Sim to those planes that are not available in P3D. As for Microsoft Flight SImulator I mainly use it for the A320 neo mod and waiting for the new payware aircrafts patiently. Currently my hangar contains: Prepar3D: Flight Sim Labs A319, A320 & A321 Aerosoft A330 TFDI 717 PMDG 737 NGX + expansion PMDG 747 + expansion PMDG 777 + expansion QualityWings 787 Aerosoft CRJ Pro Majestic Dash Q400 X-Plane 11: IEXG 737-300 I am thinking about buying new planes, but I have doubts which of these I should buy in the first place. For me the most important factor is complexity of the aircraft and bug free. I do not consider to buy the PMDG 737 NXGU at this time for P3D while I am waiting for it to be released on MFS. What is the statement of the PMDG? If I buy the NGXU for P3D I will getting the one for MFS free of charge? I consider following planes to buy. I will appreciate your insights and comments which are the best: FlightFactor A350 Carenado ATR 42 & 72 Captain Sim 757 vs Qualitywings 757 Captain Sim 767 QualityWings BAE 146 Family Feelthere Embraer E-Jets v3 Leonardo Software Fly the Maddog Inibuilds A300 Best regards, Arek
October 29, 20205 yr The only one from your list (at least the FSX/P3D offerings) that I see at the same level as the FSLabs buses is the Maddog. October 29, 20205 yr Sorry, I don´t. I have the QW757 for FS9, FSX and P3D4, and the 146 for FS9 and FSX. While they are fun to fly, and rather light in system requirements, they are not so study-level as your FSL and PMDG birds... or even the 787. If you don´t care and you have the money, go for them. It's $15 for the 757, $20 for the 146, both sold through Flight1. I.e., you have 30 days to return them if you don't like them. October 29, 20205 yr I’d hold off on the QW 146 if you want a 146, and who can blame you it’s a great aircraft, and get the just flight version which will be releasing soon for both P3D and X-PLANE. The inibuilds A300 also has very good feedback from owners. FlyJsim 737-200 is a good simulation if you fancy something old school. 787 captain. Best, Arek Captain Sim 757 vs Qualitywings 757 Captain Sim 767 I have CS 757 and 767, both are ok but they still need work on the FMC functions and autopilots and way ahead of the Qualitywings 757. I noticed an improvement and willingness of CS to fix issues, but very slow. Where at Qualitywings they didn't even bother to answer. Me personally (as a real pilot and completely not being affiliated with them) I find myself unhappy with both. I don't know what is your knowledge about these airplanes but if you can appreciate the FS Labs, TFDI 717 or PMDG you will be really disappointed going with the above. Even the 3 of them I mentioned have issues but not as bad. Oh, I had QualityWings BAE 146 and used the steam gauges version and was very happy with it. A good one is Leonardo Software Fly the Maddog, I would advice to look into it, see the YouTube tutorials and you will decide. My preference is FS Labs, PMDG and Fly the Maddog. October 29, 20205 yr IMHO, one of the very best payware aircraft is the Milviz Beechcraft KingAir 350i. It may not be a large airplane, but with a capacity of 8-14 passengers it is used on many short routes. The Proline 21 FMS makes it feel like a much larger airplane since the preparation before pushback are fairly similar to other commercial airplanes. However, in contrast to many larger airplanes, you still have to keep an eye on the engines, so it is more of a challenge to fly than a jet. Furthermore, it is regularly flown IFR and VFR, and the real airplane can be legally flown by a single pilot. That seems very hard to beat, unless you fly with shared cockpit. Peter

PMDG said they're looking at 12+ month release of the NGXu for MSFS, of course that could change at any time but at the moment that is what they are saying. If you had bought the NGXu for P3D before December of last year you would've gotten $100 off the price of the MSFS NG3. I'm not sure what their policy will be for the expansion packs, but either way you will not be getting a free upgrade to MSFS. Edited October 29, 20205 yr by arwasairl
