I know have to go up to 10.000 + ft to see real blue

If I set time to summer it looks better, so I guess that LM has made some changes.
Anyone else has seen this ?

Thanks,  Gerard

looks better; less dark blue sky.

Simon

can you use no ea with hdr off; or is that going to be a dull experience color-wise?

Simon

Is this default weather?  If yes, have you checked the visibility and the height of the visibility layer?

IMHO the top image looks quite unrealistic. Way too saturated deep blues....granted none of the images look truly convincing but 5.1 has more natural looks to it, which I prefer.

This is how it looks on my system with 5.1.

EA on

and EA off

YSYSE3d.jpg

Brightness 0.7, Bloom, 0.3, Saturation 1.0

How do you get your VAS down to 2.3?

Dan

P.S. Autoexposure could be the reason for the milky sky. My pics are Autoexposure switched off.

I use a zoom of 0.60 in VC. Using 0.30 makes it better.

My skies are from EnvTex. I do not use default .

Thanks for showing.

I am actually liking the screenshot from the v5.1 better than the screenshot from the v4.5.

Sky looks wayyyy better and more natural in 5.1 without EA on

mike

I absolutely agree with those that like the 5.1 sky better. I have never seen such dark blue skies at ground level. It should really only look like that high up in the atmosphere, so if that’s what it looks like now, then I would say LM has finally fixed a long-standing issue...
