Are you sure that your ac is/are 100% compatible with V5.1 ?

Yesterday I flew at night with B.M. Ext Lights, everything enabled, and the FPS were higher than with any version of P3D.

Over TE Netherlands with LOD at ultra compared to lower FPS in V4.5/5.0 HF2 with LOD at high...

Both pc’s were running smoother ( 8700K / 7940X )..,

Hi.

I have not made any other change than the installation of p3d v5.1. Also i am running the same settings that i had before.

I keep looking.

Regards.

Before the update I was always flying without EA as it was in "beta".  I just never really thought about using it as I had settings the way I liked them.  Now with 5.1 I think I could fly with EA during the day and then just shut it off fo dawn/dusk/night flights.  I might try that for a while see if it grows on me.

This is what I have been doing. Turning off EA for dawn and dusk flying and leaving EA on the rest of the time.

Like I wrote ; slightly better performance in regular weather mode.

However, in EA mode I can use more detail with higher fps and it is much smoother.

My guess is that something went wrong when you installed V5.1. Perhaps you should try again. Your cpu is very good. Don’t know about your gpu.

I use Prosim as my ac and its official compatible with V5.1. Here I use a 2080Ti for 2x 4K  with NVsurround (server) and a 2080 for 1x 4K (client)...

V5.1 really is a step up in performance compared to V5.0 HF2.
Your pc should run V5.1 as butter as it is high end...

Ok sorry I was not clear , I am not using EA mode , performance drop in legacy mode , I have re installed 3 times and no change . Fed up now so I’ll wait and see if the future brings better things .

For last two days I am going crazy with darkness in the cockpit...crazy dark! I have to solve that issue first and worry about clouds and sky....this thing drives be nuts and not sure what else to to do except turn on Lorby light.....

I am looking at unrealistic haze shined by Full moon. (BTW only improvement).

Enhanced Atmosphere

It is TrueSky..

Thanks but I mean what is EA?  What does it do/what is its function/purpose?

And TrueSky is a 3rd party that (if EA isn't working/functional) can be used instead?

Appreciate it!
