Thanks for that I will have a look tomorrow, had enough today. I did not expect a problem after complete reinstall of windows and the sim, very disappointing.

Strange thing is i can fly from Cardiff or Leeds in the UK without problem but Heathrow or KSFO instant cdt.

Mick

Be sure you remove everything from the community folder before testing

Clean install nothing in there.

As it happens I had no USB issues up to now but post HotFix the sim wouldn't start at all, no loading screen, nothing.

Tried running from the Microsoft store.  Same result. Nothing.  With Task Manager open I didn't see any attempt to load the main executable.

To date I have had no installation or launching issues so I pondered carefully what to try first.  Usually it's the last thing that works but just for a change it was the first thing which was also the quickest thing as it turned out.

I did a Repair of the app and all is confirmed good after several sim launches / flights now.

Sharing in case someone else hits the same prob.

I will try that tomorrow.

That is the version number I have but still have a cdt  and that is after a complete reinstall of windows and the sim 2 days ago.

Fast losing patience with the sim. So far I have spent more time repairing it than flying.

KSFO seems to be a problem with a lot of people right now. I've been making my way up the CA coast but intentionally skipped KSFO (landed KSJC instead) because of this. Don't know if I would have a CTD at KSFO but saw enough post to decide to skip it.

Ignore, duplicate post.

I just open MSFS and leave it on the default main screen for several minutes and it just does a CTD.

Maybe you have a memory leak. Have you tried launching Task Manager (from CTRL-Alt-Del screen), going to the Performance tab and seeing if anything is consuming more and more resources until maxing out when you get your CTD?

The game updates automatically when you start it up, but you may not notice it, I did not, check your version number. If you do not see it in the game, you are probably in full screen mode. Press Alt-Enter to go to window mode and the version number will appear in the title bar of the window, and it should be version 1.10.8.0.

Not quite true at least in my case.

Started the sim this morning, at checking the sim for updates it downloaded 88mib and then stuck at decompressing asbo-aircraft-cj4-0.1.27fpatch

Any ideas?
