A hotfix for CTDs related to custom input profiles is now available in both the Microsoft Store and on Steam. If you are still experiencing issues with the latest build, please send us details via Zendesk.

Has anyone managed to find it or is it just me not looking in the right place?

You mean the hot fix? Did you read anything here before? Check MS Store to update to v1.10.7

No I do not mean the update I mean the crash to desktop hotfix! Been out most of the day did I miss something?

I cannot find any link to the HF, where should I look. MSFS does not link to it either as it normally does when a new patch comes out.

just start the game and it downloads everything, the joys of legal software.

Did not update my "legal" version with a hotfix on the last startup  and according to the link I posted the hotfix is available in the Microsoft store.

The game updates automatically when you start it up, but you may not notice it, I did not, check your version number. If you do not see it in the game, you are probably in full screen mode. Press Alt-Enter to go to window mode and the version number will appear in the title bar of the window, and it should be version 1.10.8.0.

That thread discusses the hotfix being released and what was fixed. I'm not going to go through it for you and pinpoint everything that was said, you'll have to do a little reading yourself. That was just one of many threads discussing the hotfix.

No, it does not this time.

That is the version number I have but still have a cdt  and that is after a complete reinstall of windows and the sim 2 days ago.

Fast losing patience with the sim. So far I have spent more time repairing it than flying.

Are you sure. What version are you showing? If you don't see it it's in the titlebar of MSFS when it's running. If you are in full screen mode you may have to hit alt-enter to go to windowed mode. Then you can see the version number in the window title bar the.  This was not a patch and not installed like a patch. It was a quick hotfix that installs as you launch the game. The hotfix is version 1.10.8.0

This hotfix only addressed CTD caused by having null values in a controller profile. If your CTD is caused by something else then this hotfix didn't cover it. On the official forums there are several discussions and possible fixes for those other CTDs that this hotfix didn't cover.

Thanks for that I will have a look tomorrow, had enough today. I did not expect a problem after complete reinstall of windows and the sim, very disappointing.

Strange thing is i can fly from Cardiff or Leeds in the UK without problem but Heathrow or KSFO instant cdt.

It seems that it is already installed. Thanks. Don't know when this happened. Maybe I installed the latest bigger update "too late" so it was already included.
