Heading bug 10 deg. increments

Have this 10 degree issue, but it only started with the Honeycomb yoke. Was not present before using it with CH yoke.

Do you have version 1.2.43.566a Revision 1c of the yoke?
If so, did the delivery service who delivered it to your door put the package at your doorstep upside down?  If so, how long was it in that position?  If more than 4 hours...take your yoke to your roof (if you have a pool...if not, a suitable neighbor's house with one), throw the yoke into the pool...then quickly (and safely) get down and collect the drowning yoke.  Put it in rice for 3 days, and see if that fixes the issue.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a yoke troubleshooter, but I saw a Redit post that claimed this worked for them to fix the 10 deg issue.

BIGGER DISCLAIMER: I am insane, obviously due to the excessive amount of virtual paint fumes inhaled during my tenure as a flightsim painter, please fact-check my recommendation before proceeding.

BIGGEST DISCLAIMER: I'm pretty sure I saw another post on this here...hoping someone has the link or a real answer you should probably follow vs my advice. 🙂

I've commented the reasons behind this bug in another discussion, I realize it is relevant to post it here though:

Flight Simulator has an accelerator logic whereby whenever you continuously depress a knob, it will turn with an increasing velocity from 1deg/click during a certain time to 10deg/click afterward. The "good" way to do this is to separately accelerate each input individually. However they have implemented this 'logic' globally, which means whenever there is a repeating event (be it user triggered or programmatically triggered), any other input event gets accelerated too. Therefore if you have any hardware device continuously sending an input, any manipulator will get accelerated for the same reasons. This is a known bug in FSX and this is the same bug in FS2020. This is no longer a bug in P3D (as far as I remember) and I believe they solved this bug in FSX-SE too.

Listen to Jean-Luc, since he has nothing else to do but provide excellent answers here, his knowledge and experience in these matters are top notch. 😉

My answers on the other hand, need to be taken with an abundance of caution as they vary wildly depending on the state of bronchial passageways restricting blood flow to my cranial region. (referring to my acknowledgement in a previous post about brain damage due to virtual paint fume ingestion)

"Something like this".....or exactly that?

Something like that. A more up to date look.  That one is just my recoloring of another repaint.  Black, white, and the red is 5d0103.  I may have pasted in the Beech logo on the tail from an even different paint.  My skills end with recoloring an existing stripe, pasting white from blank textures over tail numbers, then creating new tail numbers.  That's all she wrote.

Sadly a lot of us...even "experienced' painters are struggling with the new formats...and while that prevents us from popping out pretty decent paints quickly, it also gives us an opportunity to learn new (and much better) ways to paint a 3d cylinder that is the an aircraft's fuselage.

I'm excited to see the new tools I get to use now, but the learning curve is kinda' steep...and to be perfectly honest....I'm 20 years older than I was when I 1st got into painting.  That is a real risk factor for my ability to pick this up and put out paints again.  Not a cop out, but a sad reality that nobody is immune to.  And if @cavaricooper would stop dragging me all over beautiful parts of the world to gawk at the scenery, I'd most likely have a few paints under my belt already! 🙂

Kidding of course, but that too impacts my painting schedule.

I did three or four airports in FSX/P3D (through v3) with ADE, but have not taken a stab at doing that in MSFS.  And that with my home airport devoid of hangars and buildings other than a lonely tower and a radio beacon.  Just colored blobs on the ground where the structures should be.  So completely understand.

From my perspective I can clearly read both of you were positively sarcastic at the same time! no offense to be seen in any of your comments!

More sadistic humor than sarcasm, if there is a difference.  My veiled target was not you or Steve, but instead some other organization that has unfilled responsibilities and is letting an awful lot of customers down.

I almost said "massive" number of customers, but recently across the globe the term massive has become too much overused.  Very often out of context for that term.  Someone in Europe please let the F1 announcers know.....   How can a driver have a massive race?  Or a massive pit stop?  What is physically huge about either one?  And my American football teams each had "massive" offensive drives last weekend......  I guess the outcome of the game was weighing on them...

OK. Stepping down off my tiny soap box with a massive step...

Your forthcoming PM request will be added to the paint queue. 😉

So my earlier image was a thought, not a request for that specific scheme.  Just something, anything, that is a bit more up to date in appearance.  Here is another example. Profoundly different personality compared to MSFS default Baron. Or even Bonanza for that matter.
