November 11, 20205 yr I'm not sure what was changed under the hood with this driver, but it gave me up to .5 gb back in vram. What ever issues some of us had with the previous release have obviously been addressed and performance improved!!

So 2 items I've noticed: On flying from Victoria harbour to Vancouver harbour with Orbx PNW and TE Washington, I was running at 3.8 gb vram on the ground and I was lucky to run at 2.7 gb while in the air @ 4000ft. With the new driver, I run at 3.1-3.3 gb on the ground and about 2.2 in the air. I say "about', because it has dropped as low as 1.9 gb. I have never had such low vram usage before. The second area of interest was setting up a flight at FSS Vancouver Airport in the PMDG 737. Before this driver, the scenario would begin (cold and dark cockpit) with a usage of 4- 4.2 gb of vram. Now it begins with 3.5-3.7gb. I'm happy with these results.

Karl If that is the argument, then an update was never necessary because P3D never got mentioned by nvidia...... You should always be on the latest version as LM recommends this. Wait till it seems stable and update..... 🙂 Regards, Marcus P.

November 12, 20205 yr I’ve noticed in the last couple of drivers. my ncp colour settings keep resetting. don’t know if this due to win10 or the driver itself? and there is more flickering on occasions. cheers mike
November 12, 20205 yr Are you doing a clean install? If so, the readme says that it clears out old settings and resets to default. I then set my colours up in ncp. I proceed to do a flight. Then after pc shut down. And I reboot pc after a couple of days for a flight. It reverts to default again. cheers mike
