I forgot to mention fly-by -wire systems. Even those don't have dead zones.

We don't have those either,

we have simulated flight controls with electronic chatter generating spurious random inputs around the centre points.

Ok, on which airplane do you have that system?

Are you referring to FBL (fly by light) system which also doesn't have have dead zones?

I'm talking about joysticks, perhaps you aren't.

Ok, I understand now, thanks.

From my days flying Piper Cherokees and Arrows, I remember piloting single handed VFR around England. These aircraft were stable enough to use maps and other nav aids without problem - no autopilot, just steam gauges and VOR. Using the C172 G1000 on FS 2020 is another story, being bounced around when hand flying  with the over sensitive controls and twitchy aircraft - quite exhausting.

OTH it was a great relief that when I was attempting on FS an ILS approach to Bergen and the flight controls stopped working so the aircraft hit the water a which was softer than one of the nany skerries. Glad it never happened to me when crossing the English Channel in RL. LOL

If your not ever going to fly real aircraft and it works for you stay with what makes you comfortable

The only time I would be flying a real aircraft is in the Ted Striker way

From what I see here very few people had a chance to fly an airplane and understand how they fly.

Obviously people at Asobo designing flight characteristics understand the effects of wx conditions, winds, pressure etc on aircraft surfaces but unfortunately, from what I see their flying experience is close to nothing and very stubborn on adjusting and fixing this issue. It is obvious that this is not their priority despite the fact that rightfully so many people are complaining about it, they made and make the money so there is no incentive to fix it.

Then there is the other bunch of people (not knowing what they are talking about) thinking that the correct way is to check or increase the dead zones on the flight controls settings.

The airplanes flight controls don't have dead zones, it's a linear constant smooth move of the flight controls, either on cables or hydraulics.

So please let's concentrate and request from Asobo to do the right thing, that would be more productive and beneficial.

With respect- whilst I like the idea of small irregular movements in flight- the current level of "effects" is grossly overdone. There can be a happy medium and it will be VITAL as the sim matures and more complex FDEs come on line.  If not, perhaps a more comprehensive SDK will eventually allow developers to tune correctly.

FIXED - OK so I discovered the problem. When I first installed MSFS I changed the flight dynamics to FSX. For some reason it causes the plane to shake more. I changed this back to the default setting, better but I was still having difficulty flying. Then I discovered MSFS had reprogramed one of my other controllers so the X/Y/Z axis were fighting each other. I remapped the other controller and boom all is well, planes fly great. So hopefully if someone has the same issue they can check to see if multiple controllers are mapped identically.
