You cannot turn a Freesync monitor into a Gsync one, they are just based on different technologies: Gsync monitors have an additional piece of hardware.

If you connected your monitor with the DP cable and the setting in nVidia control panel looks like I showed (Gsync enabled for full screen AND windowed applications), then you are using it at its full potential. It will provide a very smooth experience at 48 fps and above and an almost smooth experience below 48 fps by refreshing at (2 * framerate) Hz.

@MrFuzzy Yep that's the setting as you mentioned:)

But, how do I now get such high fps. I am missing something in this to have such high frame rates!

Did you check the numbers in developer's mode?

You should get good framerates with your PC, certainly the range 48-75 fps is reachable at least at high settings with simple aircraft.

@MrFuzzy In Developer's Mode, under options (Rendering) "Display FPS", I am only seeing what the FPS is reading - the same as I get with MSI Afterburner. Is there meant to be something I should tweak to change the range?

To increase fps you have to reduce graphics detail. What kind of numbers are you getting?

I always use EGHH for testing, currently on A32NX cockpit and exterior 25-34fps.

It says limited by GPU

C152 36-40fps limited by GPU

For the C152, with all the Ultra sliders set to High. I get 40-45fps.

The A32NX 32-40fps.

If you mean FBW A32NX you will get perfomance hit in VC now. This is because of displays rendering\handling and FBW already stated that they are working on that and we can expect some perf boost in the near future

@BackboneOne For the FBW I have been using the Dev from day one and prior to that using directly from GitHub, so am monitoring it all the time. As for the others, you will note from this thread that I have only just changed to a DP cable and now I have more options to tweak!!!

Early days, yet, but I had seen 60+fps this morning, but am looking for a balance between performance and quality.
