I actually have to turn G-Sync off in this game because of how low the FPS is it creates like a flickering screen sensation that is absolutely terrible. It was worse before I upgraded my GPU, so now I actually usually leave it on, but I do turn it off still at times. 6700K at 4.0GHz 32GB RAM 1080 Ti Dell Gaming S2716DGR Monitor. That is a limitation with your monitor. As I have mentioned previously, some monitors have a poor implementation of G-Sync. Best sticking with G-Sync ultimate if at all possible. Martin Pretty certain that a Display Port 2.0 cable would also work. They almost certainly mean a minimum of DP 1.4 or above. Also length matters, even a cable of the correct specs can potentially give issues if it is too long. A good rule of thumb is do not exceed 6' (2m) unless absolutely necessary . In other words do not get an extra long DP cable "just in case" you might be shooting yourself in the foot. Edited November 17, 20205 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
November 17, 20205 yr Glenn, The 1m length was a few cms too short, so I had to go for the 2m. The Samsung monitor's sockets are at the opposite end and being an extra wide screen, there was no other option. Also @Maxis mentioned to update the drivers: the drivers for what? The monitor's drivers? Once the cable has been connected, not sure what I am to expect or what I will have yo do! At least it is not as bad anymore, and its the only game I play that gets below 100 fps so its not too bad 😄 5700X3D 64GB DDR4-3600MHz Gigabyte 4070 Super Game installed on 980 PRO Main display Gigabyte M27Q X 27" 1440p 240Hz
November 17, 20205 yr Author One more big thing guys. In Process Lasso under Priority Class make sure that Windows dynamic thread priority boosts enabled is UNCHECKED. This was one of the real difference makers for me. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

November 18, 20205 yr Author BTW, I also noticed something strange today (and I remember seeing it previously). I turned most of my settings way down in MSFS. In doing so my FPS was in the mid 50s, dipping down into the 40s occasionally. In the FPS tool my GPU was solid yellow and my CPU was almost solid green. But regardless of what I tried I was unable to get MSFS to be stutter free. Stutters were bad. I tried RivaTuner. I changed all the options in MSFS. The only way I was able to get things smooth again was....to turn the settings back up. Now i have around 25 to 32 FPS and it is very smooth. I don't get it but this might be a clue. It is like my GPU needed to be stressed out to stop the stutters. Edited November 18, 20205 yr by RobJC 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

November 18, 20205 yr Anyone else get micro sound stutters every minute or two sometimes? My performance is otherwise perfectly fine, but the sound will click off and on for a split second. Very annoying! It only happens on final approach and taxiing to arrival gate with the A320 mod, and never at any other time during the flight, or with other planes. Can't understand why it doesn't happen any other time, such as during departure, cruise, or initial descent. Edited November 18, 20205 yr by NightOfDreams

I know it was hit or miss from the start, but it used to work for me, then after the Japan update, without it, the game ran fine for me, I also upgraded my GPU from a 1070 to a 1080 ti at the same time, so maybe coincidence. Maybe I will try it with it again. 5700X3D 64GB DDR4-3600MHz Gigabyte 4070 Super Game installed on 980 PRO Main display Gigabyte M27Q X 27" 1440p 240Hz
