Guess the famous (infamous) place....

Featured Replies

Hoping a modder will add the details to this macabre place...a place the world should not forget (but in reality, a place I wish never existed).

Its between the wing and tail....

Was gonna use Trinity as a tag..but I thought it would be a giveaway...and that listing the 2 main scientists would be a better history quip. 🙂

Bravo to a simmer that has been here as long as I have. 😉  (we're closing in on 20 Greg....on this iteration of the site...of course we were here before the new site reset everything. 🙂

Nice catch, and great to be able to see these places, gruesome or otherwise. Thoughts should always be provoked (IMHO).

Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I was divided between Trinity and Little Bighorn so I didn't venture a guess. No points for timidity.

You shoulda' googled Oppenheimer/Fermi to confirm your choice. 🙂  I was trying to be sly with my tags if anyone was on the fence as it could have been a few places. 😉

I wanted to say Nazca Lines in Peru but your heading was so gloomy I knew it couldn't have been that.  Nazca would be nice to see in FS2020.  We could enhance to lines to see them clearer at altitude.

OMG....thanks for yet another destination to check out in the sim!   Need to visit the less-than-famous pyramids the Incas (or was it Aztecs, or both) built in that part of the world as well. 😉

History (however gruesome) should never be erased, lest we forget to learn from it
