Air Hauler 2

Featured Replies

For anyone waiting for Air Hauler 2, I've just received this in an email from JustFlight:

"The Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) edition of Air Hauler 2 will be on sale later this week.

As you bought one of the other editions of Air Hauler we can offer you a discount of £11.00 / €13.80 / $16.50 off the normal price (£32.99 / €41.75 / $49.49) of this new MSFS edition."

Looking forward to the Reviews, I've got OnAir until April 2021 but want to move away from the Subscription Model to a one off payment that suits my needs. If AH2 is deemed worthy I may switch to it sooner rather than later (April).

It'd be okay as a document courier plane.

I totally recommend it over OnAir. You can do everything in Air Hauler that you can do on OnAir however you cant do everything in OnAir that you can do in Air Hauler. The only reason to use OnAir is if you are really that concerned with the interface/UI presentation. I personally dont think it looks that bad in Air Hauler.

What turned me off from OnAir other than the subscription model is the fact that I cant fly where I want to. I wanted to fly into KSAN with my new orbx scenery and couldnt in OnAir because there were no jobs available from the airport I was currently at 🙄. With Air Hauler I can just set up an AdHoc flight and fly where I want to.

You have to wait for OnAir to approve certain aircraft to prevent cheating. I understand the logic here but if an aircraft is released I would like to fly it asap especially if I am subscribed to something. Back when I flew P3D I could purchase an aircraft and be flying it within minutes in Air Hauler.

OnAir still doesn't have scheduled flights as an option and it appears they have no plans on doing it. If you are like me and like simulating airline operations OnAir isnt for you. If you just want missions generated for you Air Hauler does this too. And so does FSEconomy and NeoFly which is FREE.

If you like flying the Airbus, initially the only reason to use OnAir for me is that it took care of the fuel/payload loading for you and I didnt have to worry about converting KGs to LBs as the payload screen in MSFS is still a little clunky but now the FBW A32X mod has Simbrief integrated into it along with the ability to convert to LBS so the fuel is done with the MCDU onboard and I can adjust my payload manually.

I really think OnAir can capture more people with their virtual airlines in the Thunder world if they would actually expand it to let it operate like a normal virtual airline with scheduled flights/dispatching etc but right now its more like a courier airline flying unscheduled cargo operations, hardly a "virtual airline"

Get the LatinVFR KSAN. It’s excellent. The city looks better then I have ever seen it. After getting it I made KSAN  my second base after KMRY.
