That looks like a great improvement. Any chance of a version for Canada also being released in the future?Martin

My problem so far is with the autogen sapping my frames. The cloud9 landclass ignores my autogen settings and uses its own apparently. I get at least 3x more trees than i do with standard autogen set on low and the trees that show up are usually the wrong kind of trees like palm or rainforest. I also see incorrect random city textures placed in the middle of nowhere where there is no city. They are just pieces of city texture so it is not trying to indicate a city, its just using the wrong texture. The snow thing too but that is fixed with the new patch i read. How can i turn down the autogen and get those tree types fixed? It goes from low autogen which with the cloud9 landclass is more like middle to high with standard fsx landclass or if i turn it off then i get no autogen which i dont want to do. Low is too much autogen and off is none. Overall i think its pretty good but its unplayable now for me with the autogen problem and the frame rate loss from it.

Hi Virtuali,I fly to that airport real world regularly and you have a very nice representation of it. In the original lc I keep expecting to see Indian villages. Their version has no development in the area. They are also missing the Juniata river the next valley south of KRVL. I'm anxious to get my update today to see if you have it in there. The only way I've been able to get that river and the lakes in Snyder County is through Ultimate Terrain. It works OK in FSX and shows all I mentioned but it's just not for FSX.Thanks for the improvements.Jim

XClass do not change the Autogen in any way, and of course it DOES comply with the FSX Autogen settings, both the standard sliders and any tweak you might have use in the FSX.CFGIt obvious, also, that if the original MS Landclass specified a desert (the biggest problem with default landclass in the US it's there was too much desert), when the real world has a field or a forest with many tress for the same area, if XClass would represent it, you'll see an increase in the actual number of trees for that area, and your fps could be lower in that area. Conversely, there are other areas (like the one I've put in my screenshot) were the original MS Landclass specified a dense forest were in reality there is farmland, so in that case the fps should be improved, since the farmaland textures calls for fewer trees than the denser forest ones. However, I strongly suggest to use the very well known Autogen tweaks (see my previous message on this thread), but that suggestion is anyway not related to the use of XClass, you'll get benefits even with default scenery. The palm trees appearing too often has already been fixed with 1.01 and it's available for download. The city textures do not appear for error, if you see a city texture, there should be a city there. The problem, common to ALL Landclass files (due to lack of proper data sources), it's that sometimes is difficult to choose between small, medium, central or suburb classes, because most of the data sources available for landclass, specify just a generic "built-up" area, with two classifications at best, so we had to go to great lenghts trying to fix and fill up missing data. IF you are sure that at a specific place there shouldn't be *anything* not even a small town, yet you see a city texture, then please report it on the Cloud9 forum, with Longitude and Latitude for that place, so we can fix it an put it in the next update. Please understand that a Landclass product can't be done in any other way than this, with the help of user's reports. It's simply impossible to have tested it all, some problems are only apparent if you know the area and if you fly over it in FS. XClass Europe has been greatly improved in 3 subsequent very fast updates with the user's help, so I expect the US version costantly improving all the same.Umberto Colapicchioni - VIRTUALI.

>They are also missing the Juniata river the next valley south of KRVL. >I'm anxious to get my update today to see if you have it in there.I'm afraid you won't get new rivers with any Landclass product. Landclass just specifies the choice of colors and the Autogen type for underneath base textures.Rivers ( and Lakes, Roads, etc.) are made with VTP vector data overlayed on top of the base Landclass, so you need to use a specific product for that like, for example, UT.Umberto Colapicchioni - VIRTUALI.

Well i don't know what to say other than it DOES ignore my autogen settings and greatly increases the amount of trees that i get. I am also using the edited autogen settings in the fsx.cfg and the edited xml file. It works perfectly in standard fsx landclass but the cloud9 is ignoring my autogen settings and greatly increasing them. I don't know how else to describe it. I will download the new patch though so thanks for the heads up on that!Dave

The palm trees appearing too often has already been fixed with 1.01 and it's available for download.Umberto, I just tried to update to 1.01 from my 1.00 and the update fails saying it can't update due to unknown readme file? I noticed atleast 1 other having the same problem in your forum (I'm awaiting activation in it, or I would have posted there!) You noted there he must have bought XCLASS Europe by mistake. That's not my problem, As I have purchased, and installed both XClass USA and Europe! Thanks

Thanks

Same error here: "The program cannot update the installed version of XClass US 1.00 to 1.01 because of the following reason: [path to FSX]Cloud9XCLUSReadme.txt: unknown version."I also have Xclass Europe 1.02 installed. (Those updates went fine, by the way: 1.00 --> 1.01 -- 1.02.)

Sorry guys, I think there is a problem with the English readme file, if you delete it before installing the patch, it should work.

VIRTUALI,Would you recommend putting your land class above or below UT? I don't want to miss out on your corrections. Thanks,Jim
