December 3, 200619 yr Thanks for your help and suggestions. I jumped too soon and bought something that wasn't really what I was looking for. I think you are right about those other programs. I have no problem paying more for those as long as it really is what I want. Just by the way, I downloaded some of those mesh files from Mr. Taubert and took them out right away. It was not a very easy install but the instructions were simple and that was very frustrating. I tried all different ways and nothing. I even tried the europe one which I thought might solve that Thames River problem but no. I guess I will wait for more comprehensive scenery stuff that hopefully will be out soon and hide my credit cards for now.
December 3, 200619 yr There's file right here in the Avsim Library that fixes the Thames River and other similar problems.http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...rado&CatID=rootJim
December 4, 200619 yr Wow, where did that come from? I swear that I check the forums and files everyday sometimes twice and I never saw that. How did that one get by me. It worked perfectly and I want to thank you for bringing this file to my attention. Guess it's time to start checking for more "hidden" gems like these.
December 4, 200619 yr Glad that helped you! In FS9 I limited my flying to mostly in the US but with FSX I'm branching out. Tonight I bought the Cloud 9 landclass for Europe and installed freeware mesh for all of Europe. Jim
December 4, 200619 yr I had the same problem. You can't copy and paste the sre#.You have to enter it manually. Bring back Chief Illiniwek!University of Illinois.
December 4, 200619 yr how do you enter it manually?, The instructions seem so simple but if there is a way for it to work, I may just try it again. I'm sure you know how long it takes to download all those files. It would seem like a huge waste of time if I never got to use them. I feel so stupid because those meshes have been around forever so you know they are good, so it must be me. Thanks again
February 26, 200719 yr I was looking at the screenies at Cloud9. They seem very nice indeed.BUT, it seems to me that many screenies show buildings that are way to big in size compared to what appears to be the original sceneries building around the same area.
February 26, 200719 yr I've mentioned the relative size of autogen scenery before as being over-sized and wrong - specifically in relation to 200ft tall trees. The Scenery SDK points out that there are various sizes of tree available to choose from, but I don't know if that is true of buildings as well.Allcott
February 26, 200719 yr Commercial Member XClass screenshots on Cloud9's website refers to version 1.00, they weren't updated to current version, 1.03In version 1.03, there is an entirely different treatment from cities, using several city types depending on city size and with buffer zone to represent suburbs. This solved the problem reported with previous versions of small cities having too big or too dense buildings, as you can see in this post:http://forum.fscloud9.it/viewtopic.php?p=2...ighlight=#27917 Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook
February 27, 200719 yr I just purchased this package and have Adam Mills textures loaded. It is looking good to me although I have only had one session so far. :) John Rig: Gigabyte B550 AORUS Master Motherboard, AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT CPU, 32GB DDR4 Ram, Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super Graphics, Samsung Odyssey wide view display (5120 x 1440 pixels) with VSYNC on.
