Any one know how to obtain serial number for installing the updated version if purchased through Orbx?

Edit: Figured it out.  Had to open the profile.xml file to find it.  In C:\Users\[yourname]\Documents\REX 6\REX Weather Force

I save all of my license and key numbers in the encrypted password keeper program I use for passwords.  Works great because I can open it, then copy and paste from it into installation dialogs.  Actually with some I am able to simply drag and drop the entries.  Usually need name and email address as well.  Makes it very quick and easy.

I've done the same thing now that I know that this is information I need for future updates.  ORBX doesn't give you that information when you purchase.  Having bought through ORBX, I assumed they'd push the updates seamlessly as they have with many other products I've bought through them.  Didn't think I'd have to go hunting for a serial key, but alas, here we are.  Pretty cumbersome process, in my opinion.  I'd rather just be able to update through ORBX.  If I had known that this would be the required method, I would have bought directly from REX so the developers didn't have to give up part of their cut to ORBX.  @timest, any comment?  Did ORBX not push the update or is this a limitation we have to live with when we buy from someone else?

So how is weather force nowadays?  After a few updates is it worth a punt?  Then again honestly I've been pretty impressed with depiction of live weather recently.

Does the updated version make use of the new snow coverage feature in MSFS?

No, NOT yet. They wanted to get a working version out, and they are working on the snow and ice thing.

There's currently a 30% off sale going on at Rex--$21.95.

Also there's still a bug with the current version. Although the correct sky conditions get displayed at the departure airport, and the airport ATIS correctly reports it, neither the wind nor the barometric pressure take effect until the airplane starts moving. The good news is that a beta version is available that corrects this.

Happy holidays to all!
