What chance do we mere mortals stand.

Aparently there's a new Star Gate series in development. 👍 Unless there's something newer to report it doesn't look too good: https://filmdaily.co/news/stargate-universe-updates/ . January 1, 20215 yr Author Really good news. Thanks for the update. I've always been a SG fan. Great stuff and it's really good know they'll be back. January 1, 20215 yr Yep, Star Gate was awesome. Loved it. DS9 has to be my all time favourite, although I loved Enterprise and Next Gen too. Voyager was pretty good. Currently enjoying Expanse on Prime. Fantastic series. Mandalorian was great too. As for Discovery... hmmm! Picard apart from the first episode was very disappointing, like anything Kurtzman is involved in.
January 1, 20215 yr Original cast in new movie. https://www.giantfreakinrobot.com/ent/stargate-reboot-cast.html

January 2, 20215 yr Oh yes, Babylon 5 was something special. I've lost count of the number of times my son and I have watched it over again. Now that would make a great new series, with modern CG it would be excellent. Its all about the writing though and that's what seems to be lacking in Kurtzman's shows. One of my small claims to fame is that Joe Straczynski, who created B5, was a high school classmate. Even back then, his writing skills were very evident. Tell him an old class mate DEMANDS a new series. 👍 I did message him years ago on a B5 Usenet group, and we chatted briefly about the old days at CVHS. Not sure how to contact him nowadays. I didn’t really know him well, (he was a year ahead of me), but we were both in the same Creative Writing class, which is how I know his writing talents were superb. Little did I know then how far he would go! The teacher of that class, Mrs. Massey, was probably the best teacher I ever had in any subject at that school, and JMS dedicated one of his books to her, as she inspired him to pursue writing as a profession. He started getting involved in theater and film production when he attended San Diego State. Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. January 3, 20215 yr Now this is an interesting new theory... https://www.popularmechanics.com/space/deep-space/a34934990/new-universe-theory-fragments-energy/ Forget waves and particles, think energy fragments. Fragments of energy may be the fundamental building blocks of the universe. The theory combines the ideas of particles and waves into a concentration of energy that flows throughout space and time. The researchers used the theory to answer two problems solved by Einstein. Edited January 3, 20215 yr by martin-w
January 3, 20215 yr Too deep for me. I'm sticking to Newtonian physics. Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
January 3, 20215 yr Author Now we're cooking! Forget about all that stuff the theoretical physicist types have been spouting over the years. Now that the mechanical engineers have spoken we may finally be getting somewhere..
