Never had one CTD with mfs. Must be hardware related.

Not necessarily. I have not seen one single CTD only after I disabled all live services except weather. Would be interesting whether you have any live services besides weather enabled and yet did not see any CTD ?

I always fly in live weather. And for other things i have live players on. Live traffic i dont use because it dont work.

might be the reason then. Since I disabled live and AI traffic I fly zig zag across Europe with not a single CTD. fingers crossed... will try to enable multiplayer next and see whether I can at least add that to populate the skies....

More likely to be settings-related. I started getting lock ups after some long flights and figured it was the thing running out of steam somewhere along the way, so I tweaked a few settings related to data streaming to ensure it wouldn't run out of ooomph, and it sorted it straight away. I'm guessing this will be a similar sort of thing, sort of not unlike how FSX used to run out of addressable memory when you got near your fancy add-on airport with a ton of AI planes there, and it didn't have enough resources left to load all that stuff in, in fact I'd put money on it being something like that.

@peppy197 Limit your FPS to 30 and your CTDs are gone. MSFS 2020 is not playing nice with some hardware right now..
