December 29, 20205 yr So no Citation mod for you. 😀 Yeah I saw the smile face. Without good mods this sim would be dead in the water for me. I have purchased a few mods (A Brazilian Nights addon) to name one the defiantly caused crashes and I eliminated it very quickly using MS Addon Linker. My opinion based on experiences to date I believe that MSFS is basically very stable. This far I did not come before. Knock on wood... EDIT except that ATC still gets confused. sent me to FL100 before and now back to FL190. Will just ignore this. Apologies KWIESER76, SWISSGAMER#2725, NILS 8107 and others if I now get into you flight path 🙂 now on final ILS34 and suddenly heavy stutters which I never experienced before, screen freezing for seconds though no CTD (yet). Disabled first Multiplayer and then also live traffic but only slightly better, still occational stutters Did land successfully! Even turned multiplayer on on short final. less stuttering. And no CTD! Summary: I basically changed from Azure ATC to Windows Offline ATC and it did seemingly help (for this time). Will try another flight later today. Dev mode is not as stable, but just because it runs stable on one config does not mean it's stable for everyone. I can get a rocket stable if it has the exact correct fuel mixture, but if 0.0001% change causes it to explode, it's still generally an issue. AMD 5800x | Nvidia 3080 (12gb) | 64gb ram
December 29, 20205 yr Microsoft flight simulator has been crashing to desktop more than any other game I play dating all the way back till “Century of Flight” days. It’s almost a right of passage built into all versions just to drive us nuts.

Though MSFS has been crashing sporadically, it still sends me into a fit of rage.
December 29, 20205 yr What happens specifically when MSFS crashes? Mine is usually at a busy airport in a large city, either taxiing to runway or right after takeoff. Everything freezes, the sound cuts out for a split second then resumes, then the game just disappears. No error or anything. This happened with the TBM back in November but then stopped entirely. Recently it happened again twice but with the modded CJ4 only - no other planes. Edited December 29, 20205 yr by NightOfDreams

Because I have photogrammetry off since weeks (too big hit and not always making scenery look better), did roll back my Nvidia driver and yet hat another CTD yesterday during approach to FSDTs LSZH. next try will be to disable azure atc Somethings not right with FSDTs LSZH. Only payware airport I've had CTDs with. Not everytime but most of the times when arriving.

December 29, 20205 yr Were you flying a Carenado plane. Both of my crashes were on approach, one in the Mooney and one in the Seminole. My other planes have been fine so far. These were total crashes to desktop, no freezing, no temp issues, no warning. Not saying Carenado is the culprit here but seems like its becoming a pattern, for me anyway. Complete insanity no rhyme or reason. however I’ve also had a CTD flying the WT CJ4. Edited December 30, 20205 yr by Azapata87
January 3, 20215 yr Hi I also had the same problem, everything fine during flight until I was on final approach then CTD. 4 consecutive flights I had CTD on final approach, I turned off live and AI traffic and hav'nt had another CTD. Hope this helps.
January 3, 20215 yr Had my first CTD last night. Long flight from EGLL to GCLP. All fine until I used ATC to connect the gate. Then Bam CTD. Thank god fs airlines logged the flight already. Nothing new added to community folder. Just a completely random crash.
