FBW loading question

Featured Replies

I'm sure things will change once the EFB gets released, but in the current stable or dev releases, does the simbrief upload get the simbrief data into the MCDU only or does it also load the plane?  I have heard both and wasn't sure what was accurate.  If the latter, I think the data wouldn't match 100%.  I saw a Youtube video that said you need to still manually do it, but I also saw a video that said it loads the aircraft too.

You have to go to the ATSU menu and initialize the flight. Just like in real life. Youtube has Easyjetsimpilot and others that explain initialize startup procedure of the FBW Airbus.

The flightplan from simbrief will be imported, if you follow the procedures.

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

You can load and fuel the aircraft using the weights in the simbrief plan through the MCDU.

But wouldn't this vide indicate even though you loaded via simbrief, you still need to manually input these in the sim?

i dont think the autoload function works correctly via the MCDU. the airplane appears to shake like the weight is changing when I click it but the numbers do not change when I have payload screen up in MSFS after clicking it so I just change the payload manually for now. I believe the fuel works though but mine is always adjusted via AirHauler so I havent used the MCDU in some time for that

I'll have to check again, I could have swore I saw the gross weight number on the MFD change.

This is all you need to do.

I've done extensive testing on this Simbrief loading thing. As far as I can make out, fuel loading works correctly but payload values are ignored. You can test it by pre-loading your aircraft with (say) 5% fuel and zero payload at the main MSFS planning screen (prior to jumping into the flight)  - then seeing if the values change when you set up the MCDU.

Also - for many of the flight plans, I get waypoint errors after sending the flightplan INIT/REQUEST.

However - I'm betting the FBW team is nibbling away at these issues, so I keep updating my DEV version and hoping! Stunning work so far!
