Double Flight Simulator in the Processes... is it normal?

Featured Replies

Yesterday I upgraded the RAM (32GB) and i noticed that Flight Simulator was using almost all of that.

Looking at the processes, I noticed that Flight Simulator is double, with a copy.

I am sure that i'm running it once. I'm not sure if it is normal.
Opinions?

If that is normal, I certainly have not seen it, nor have I seen anyone else mention it, so I think it's fairly safe to assume it's abnormal.

If I accidentally try to run MSFS twice, it refuses, with a warning that MSFS is already running

It happens to me very often, and you shouldn't care about it.

At my PC it is the same. I don't know what it means, but I have no problems running MSFS. When I click a second time on the MSFS icon (because it takes some time before something happens) I get, like cianpars mentions, a warning that FS is already running.

It would be nice if MSFS displayed a "Flight Simulator starting" box right away so we don't have to wonder "did I actually click on the shortcut?" until we get the black full screen window some time later.

Be careful what you wish for, they might bring back “Press any key to start”

Vote here for some sort of splash screen to be shown immediately after clicking the shortcut.

Can't think it would take more than 5 minutes to implement so it does not detract from other more important things Asobo might be working on.

Just a DOS box saying "Flight Simulator is loading" would be something

Voted... A MSFS logo would be nice indeed. Every version I know of had the Flight Simulator logo. Nowadays I'm playing: World update-USA
