March 4, 20215 yr Flying grounds that I cannot find fairly represented in any other sim. And I like it ! This is the Shan country in upper Burma (oops Myanmar) 😉.Dangerous lands. Took off from Putao Snow capped peaks to the NW On a grumbling note, the guy who designed the camera views had never took a screenshot before in a sim. The fisheye effect and that the wretched menu bar are calamities 😉 ! I did try a couple of times and crashed the aircraft (which was on a/p !) each and every time 😁. EDIT : I did a little home work on the drone camera and I think you are plenty right ! Gone are the days of the V key, welcome to the drone camera. Interesting... 2 hours ago, pmb said: Try lowering the zoom setting t Indeed there is a balance to find between the fisheye effect and having the aircraft too large in the shot. I have to learn. I already remapped the keyboard as the drone commands as released are not exceedingly intuitive on a French keyboard. But now that you tell me I should maybe recommission in active service my old CH Fighterstick . It's plug and play, everything is pre-mapped for the drone. Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

You can pick up a wireless usb clone version for maybe 25 euros on Amazon, and once you get the hang of it it really brings this all to life. Personally, these days I use the free recorder software to make a flight and then come back and replay it in drone mode, and that way I can concentrate better on the flying initially by staying in the cockpit and then take as long as I like to enjoy the view and take shots from all sorts of angles afterwards. For me the combination of MSFS's stunning scenery in all these far flung places and then the drone and now replay software gives me everything I always wanted from a flight sim. It may still have its problems, but it is just totally immersive when you're somewhere interesting, and especially somewhere you could never really visit in the other sims. I find myself wasting hours in strange backwaters in Bulgaria and other central European states, in Siberia, Africa, China, Tibet, central Asia etc. Absolute magic! Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I have to learn. 79% zoom is just about perfect. And when you get a good angle, correct distance and zoom level...you get shots like this: (Drone camera, 79% zoom, axis rotated for the appearance of a bank...but its flying straight and level.....because it just looks really cool) 🙂 Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
