January 8, 200719 yr Thanks for Marchetti, guys :)What about aircraft sharing in multiplayer ? Is it work ?
January 9, 200719 yr >Hmm, spent an hour reading this thread and reviews and went>out and bought it. Sweet!!!!! 1st time I spun that puppy I>was wishing for a barf bag, can only describe it as>exhilarating :D This is one sweet plane and after an hour of>flying time I can tell it's gonna replace my DreamFleet>Cardinal as my plane of choice.>>But now I've got a problem, I fulfilled a 30-year old dream 3>weeks ago and bought a gorgeous Les Paul Standard, done>nothing but play guitar since then. No flying, no gaming,>nothing! Now I'm gonna have to find time to service>two mistresses ;)>>Thanks for this fantastic plane Rob!Well, congrats on the Les Paul Standard. I am partial to Gibsons, but prefer the hollow bodies-I have an ES175D, and my dream guitar would be an L-5 or Super 400, I'd settle for a Byrdland. (LOL). I'm still kicking myself because I had a ES355 (B B King "Lucille") that i TRADED AWAY years ago. AUGH :( I don't have time to play anymore though, maybe some day..... :|

All of a sudden he showes up with a weary old Tele and asked me if I wanted to try playing it. Sure, I said, and MY OH MY what a guitar! You can't just play it cause every little microscopic move you make with your fingers are reflected through the speakers, but played with feeling, with both single coils active she really shines! Suits my playing style too, as I play w/o pick and and don't wanna lose the variation in sound that technique produces. Of course you can get the old bridge mic only Tele Twang as well. (Needless to say the Crate Amp loves this guitar too.)Then he just said: "Mom gave it to me for my bithday back in 1965". And even better, he wanted me to keep it!!! Not that he gave it to me, he is still the owner, but I can I use it as much as I want to, how about that? (Yes, I know Fender sold his factory to CBS in 64, but the production didn't become affected until the early 70's.)This, pluss another neighbour (female singer) who wants to make her next album with me ... (and a new Intel Mac with Live 6 and Reason). Her last album was called "Time to Fly". Well, that's something I don't have right now ...Have fun (and sorry for being off topic, just wantet to tell someone ;-))Eagle

And I had a pre cbs twin reverb too, wish i still did :(
January 10, 200719 yr >Well since we're off topic already, I used to have a>jazzmaster years ago, ever play one of those? And I had a pre>cbs twin reverb too, wish i still did :(No, but I have played a Jaguar, another cool Fender that sort of phased out for some reason. Maybe they got overshadowed by Strat and Tele, but they are gaining popularity again nowadays.I guess, by selling both the Jazzmaster and the Twin Reverb you've learned the lesson; you just don't sell old music equipment when you buy new ones, right?Eagle
January 27, 200719 yr will the new sf-260 for fsX...Also...work in fs9??....I LOVE my fs9 version...but yer gonna have to sell me on upgrading even if it WILL work with fs9....not going to FSX for some time yet...Chas
July 6, 200718 yr Hi RobGreetings again after many moons! Sorry, but could you kindly help me out with this landing light 'problem'? After reading the threads I re-installed my SF260 for FSX and whereas the landing light over the nose-gear lights up fine there's no visible illumination outside the a/c. Default a/c are OK. I have Activesky X-Graphics installed - did I read that this could be a factor? I'm fond of dusk/dawn flights for the sheer ambience and landing lights are essential. So I am back flying the Baron 58 til I can get a steer on this. I hear some folk blaming FSX whereas some SF260 FSX drivers are reporting landing lights ON! Any pointers? July 6, 200718 yr Hi Gareth,I have the same problem and Rob has, to no avail, tried to find out what is causing the issue. I also have X-Graphics and tried to restore the default Landing lights. I'm inclined to believe it is an X-Graphics issue. By the way, this thread is from December of last year. There is a current one on the forums.Bob.. Bob Prince
July 6, 200718 yr Do you have SP1 installed?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
July 7, 200718 yr As I'm sure you are aware, your machine should be SCREAMING fast with FSX.I'm sure you've heard this a million times now, but I've got an E6600 (OC 3.3 GHz, air cooled Zalman 9700)/2 GB 800 MHz Kingston HyperX/150 GB 10k raptor/EVGA 8800 GTS 640 MB OC and I lock it at 30 - 40. I run air traffic at 80%/Ground traffic at 35%/Water at 1x high to 2 low, Scenery very dense autogen dense (6000/2000 I like more trees than buildings), 1m, Large (6.5), 100%, 38 m, and lock it at 30, and could go higher, but 30 is plenty fast for me and that leaves overhead for other things.Your machine should be way faster than mine.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
July 7, 200718 yr Hi BobThanks for your reply .. interesting. Sure, I'll pick up the other thread after this post. Thomas, hi, yes I have SP1. On that subject I also seem to be one of the lucky ones with very pleasing performance out of a mid-spec system. Minimal stutters and blurs despite some tasty display settings. In a rush right now happy to provide more gen. if anyone interested. New dual core set-up arriving next month. Wd like to find a solution to the SF260 landing lights - it would certainly brighten up my day. Ouch. BestGareth Gareth Wilkinson LEAL Costa Blanca, SPAIN
July 7, 200718 yr [William H Macy in fargo voice]the heck do ya mean?[/William H Macy in Fargo voice]Why would you bother getting the FSX upgrade of a plane you already have if you are't planning to use FSX? The upgrade is specifically for FSX. If you already have the FS9 version and don't want to use FSX, there's no reason to get the upgrade at all...
July 7, 200718 yr Author Hi Chas,Although the FSX version does have some new features, which wouldn't work in FS9, equally the FS9 version is not an "inferior" version, and some of its design doesn't work in FS9. They are two different sims although on the surface they seem similar. There is absolutely no point in you upgrading unless you want the upgrade specifically for FSX.Regards,Rob Young - RealAir Simulations Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page
