March 17, 20215 yr Not seen this before, but I have a continuing "Checking For Updates"! I've rebooted the PC, started the sim, but it just keeps checking for updates. Anyone else had this? March 17, 20215 yr Checking For Updates screen lasts about a minute for me. Never frozen on it. Frozen on pretty much every other screen at some point so I guess I've got this coming.

March 17, 20215 yr Author @Bobsk8Does that mean I have to just sit it out until the server is back? Obviously I can't change servers. I think when that happened, it was about 2 hours before it came back. Trying to remember exactly when that happened, but it was a server issue. Check the MSFS forum.

March 17, 20215 yr To play this sim I think besides throttles yokes and pedals a Bug jacket should also be included as a device Edited March 17, 20215 yr by gore54 spelling System Intel core I9-10900.Asus prime Z490P motherboard, Corsair 32gb ddr4 dram, Samsung 970 EVO 1TB SSD and 1 TB Seagate Barracuda HD. March 17, 20215 yr The Server issues are no more - they've been fixed. I'd suggest that if you freeze on the Checking For Updates screen for more than three minutes, use Task manager to shut the Sim, Restart Windows and try again. Rinse and repeat until you get in. Don't start aimlessly faffing around with stuff. That's when it goes REALLY wrong. Edited March 17, 20215 yr by Will Fly For Cheese

March 17, 20215 yr 7 minutes ago, sauviat said: Yep done that after the first try. Version v2.51.3002.0 here, and working well. Sometimes these long "Checking for Updates" are due to an outdated app related to Windows Games Services. Check also Xbox updates, I had one this morning. Obviously, it's best to have these apps automatically updated in your MS Store settings, but sometimes, I don't know why these apps get only updated after a reboot. March 17, 20215 yr Right. Power down your Sim rig. Reset your Router. Wait until your Router's established a connection. Boot your Sim rig and Start MSFS 2020. That's the only faffing I'd do. If that doesn't work I'd abandon the whole thing until tomorrow.
March 17, 20215 yr Author @edpatino The store checks for Xbox updates as well.
