LIVING AIRPORTS - 3D LIGHTS P3D

Recommended Posts

If you're still with the 4.5HF3, PTA has an ability to increase both intensity and brightness of the existing lights and autogen.

Look in the distance of the two screen shots.

A tiny glow worm crawling across the screen. Still not worth the money.

Why is it not allowed to mention this particular product/developer ?

I don't see why?

The only guideline that I can see in Avsim TOS is for "commercial users and advertising" nothing is preventing us, the customer of a product (as I can see) form sharing experiences or information about a developer or a product as positive or harsh it might be within civilized statements.

I have (not allowes) and extended lights, and the problem with these addons are the fps hit and the fact that they make the world look like a light show cartoon. It is just too much (my opinion).

I downloaded the 3d lights living airports and find that the addon does not have any noticeabe fps hit. Further, it does what it says: it extends lights as far as the eye can see, without the normal P3D lights popping in the distance effect.

Couldn't agree more regarding "the other Addon", I also found it overdone. Too much Hollywood.

@killtthespam, thanks for the screenshots. Indeed extended lights in the distance is a very welcome effect. Looks very natural.  I think I'll get it as well, especially because it covers the whole world.

If you feel it is "overdone" there are configuration utilities that allow you to adjust density, location, etc easily. I love it. Very realistic from my perspective.

For those using these Living Airport  lights,  is everyone using it will all the options checked? It's taking forever to load for me.

This looks very realistic to me. It is from the ‘other developer’. I don’t see anything overdone or to Hollywood.
It’s all in your settings :

Have not seen that up to today but I am using photo scenery for 90% of where I fly.

When flying over LC scenery you should see the vector roads as that is the intention. The default roads should be replaced by them ...

I have done around two dozen real VFR night flights over densely populated area (Northrine Westfalia in Germany) and from that kept a certain picture of night lights or night impression in my brain. With this "other developer" Addon I never could get it right, it was always overdone. I get a similar impression from your screenshots.

That is by no means meant critical regarding your screenshots or your preference. Not at all, if they are fine for you, then it is OK of course. I guess everyone has a very personal sight of night impression, either seen live or just by imagination how it should look like.
