Not really sure what that means, but am guessing a joke 🙂

Amazing how many threads about MSFS turn into fights about other sims. No way people can keep a thread on topic here 🙂

Jealousy me thinks.

I don't think so. I think they do it on purpose for some strange reasons. I read the other forums at times, P3D, FSX, XP-11, and don't see that many MSFS people doing the same. Unless it is a specific like General Sim category. And that never ends well. I have 3 different sim's and like them all for different reasons. I don't yell at myself for using any of them 🙂

Best for all to avoid making superlative statements.  That will do it just fine.  There are attributes of each sim that are weaker than the others.  But only one has attributes weaker than what some earlier sims had 10 years ago or more.

Please do not totally msunderstand me.  With all sincerity I spend perhaps an hour a day looking at and gathering MSFS mods and addons.  Those hours are based on the promise of what is to come.  We should all fall short of saying its all there now!  It is not!

One thing is for sure - any flight sim besides MSFS has lost relevancy and I will probably never use any other sim in my remaining days.

I know that some enjoy bashing MSFS 2020, and I have on occasion myself after a rash of CTDs, but all in all it is the best thing out there at this moment. I just spent about an hour reading a thread that was about 34 pages long on current problems with P3D. Seems like the old OOMs 32 bit out of memory, which was supposed to be cured by moving to 64 bit,  crashes are back with a different name and cause. This time it is out of Vram ( OOV- I guess)  crashing the sim. So people have to dial back settings, not fly demanding aircraft, spend $2000 or more  for a new GPU, etc, just so that overloading Vram doesn't CTD their sim. And this is with the latest Version 5....

If you're specs are at least a i7 8700k gpu gtx1070 you should get it.  I've been able to run smooth (30-60fps) on mostly high settings on even that older system.  But it depends on what your expectations are.

Kind regards,

Tim
