May 29, 20215 yr When I land at International airports and view other commercial planes scattered about even with live traffic turned on, most of them are yellow or other nondescript colours with only a few painted in liveries I would expect. Is this because I have only downloaded a few liveries for personal use, do I need to download megapacks or something to see static and live planes in better liveries? Hi; Yes , you need to download megapacks or etc. Or I can suggest you what I use : PSX Real Traffic. Free and good enough at the moment. Free. https://www.lekseecon.nl/ You need to read, learn and setup tihs but it is not hard to do. Enjoy. May 29, 20215 yr MSFS doesn't include the liveries of real aircraft except for a couple very limited instances (United comes to mind). Simply adding liveries to the sim usually only adds liveries for player aircraft. For the AI to be able to use real world matching liveries at the moment is a very tedious and involved process. There are people and groups working on an easier/better solution, but they have been doing so for some time and it's still forecast to be quite a while off. James

The hard part is having correct models. Until AIG or someone else releases their traffic models, I've just set the a320 to be a generic aircraft. So nearly every live airline spawns as an A320, but they will at least have the correct livery most of the time. Edited May 29, 20215 yr by Tuskin38
May 29, 20215 yr This is one of the more requested items for MSFS, definitely one of the top 10. Most Sim's struggle with this. I never used P3D and stopped with FSX 10 years ago. I move over to Xplane, which also had this issue. Then a developer made FlightGlobal and I was amazed. A single click install and, very fast, very limited FPS hit and every airport that supported worldwide livery airliners got them, it was regional specific with great gate, taxi and takeoff/landings. I cant wait for something like this in MSFS. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Would I be right in thinking you have also downloaded a mega pack of liveries for the A320? May 29, 20215 yr Until Asobo gets serious and the aftermarket developers come up with a solution, every thing now is just a visual band aid. At the current time there is no way to meaningfully edit and customize traffic. It's all just random, random jets park at random gates. AFAIK there is nothing like AFX at the moment to edit parking positions. As a heavy flyer this is the main reason I don't use sim. I was hoping for some good news on that front in the last developer update but... more of the same about asking for permission. I can't understand why we can't just have Asobo give us blank airplane models with numerical values and we the community can just repaint them. As long as we are all on the same page Delta is 67 and Lufthansa is 2 for every model I would say we would have a good start to things. Every solution I have tried is sub-par. For the most part it's ok. But not seeing rows of Lufthansa and seeing random American A320s or B6 A320s at Munich is silly so I just would rather have nothing at all. Even the nuts and bots of the AI system is pretty flawed. I have never once seen a plane taxi out, take off, and fly normal... Or land and taxi to a gate. Hopefully, Asobo gives developers the tools to create air traffic like we can have in FSX, P3D, or X plane.

Asobo is just now starting to work with AIG to get some decent AI traffic in MSFS 2020. AIG is getting ready to alpha test their traffic addon soon and hopefully release it to the public in Q4 of this year.

And yeah, I got the megapack. Edited May 30, 20215 yr by Tuskin38
